I don't own Prince of Tennis

The Hunt for Happiness

Marui Bunta just loved Easter; even thought he was 15. He always received a 1kg in Easter eggs from his parents, and relatives and chomped it down in one day. This year it was different; this year his parent's friends were coming over. Kaiya was coming over also. Kaiya was Marui's childhood friend. She was a shy, quiet and Marui was her only friend. Now in high school days they barely saw each other and he spent less time with her.

Ding Dong

"I'll get it," shouted Marui sliding down the wood railing of the stairs.

"Good morning Marui," said Kaiya's mother.

"Good morning Mrs. Miyamura," greeted Marui.

"Hello, Bunta-kun," said Kaiya quietly.

"Ah, drop formalities. Call me Marui and drop the kun," said Marui.

"Sorry Marui," said the light blue haired girl.

"Ah, it's ok," Marui.

Kaiya had partially changed, her hair was longer, she had two ponytails (In Kagami's style from Lucky Star.) and her eyes were a lighter shade of lavender.

"Well Marui, Miya, Mei, and Kaiya we'll have an Easter egg hunt today," said Marui's mother.

"Mom, Kaiya and I are 15 and Miya and Mei are 10 why would we have an Easter egg hunt?" asked Marui.

"Because it's always nice," replied Marui's mother.

"You four will be put in a group," said Marui's mother.

"Let me guess I'll be with Mei," said Marui.

"No, you will go with Kaiya while Mei and Miya," said Marui's mother.

"Ok, let's go," said Marui to Kaiya.

After a few minutes...

"Ah! This is a disaster! We can't find a single Easter egg!" shouted Marui.

"Um... Marui I found an Easter egg," said Kaiya holding out a number 15* egg.

"Oh, hehe you a better finder than me," said Marui.

Kaiya blushed.

"So Kaiya did you make anymore friends?" asked Marui.

Kaiya just shook her head.

"Oh," said Marui thinking how lonely she must have been.

"Well, did you make any friends?" asked Kaiya.

"Um... yeah," said Marui.

"I guess you wouldn't be a friend of a practically invisible girl at school," said Kaiya.

"No, it's just that I joined the tennis team and I had a lot of home work," said Marui.

"So after practice will you walk me home?" asked Kaiya.

"Yes," said Marui blushing a tiny bit.

The after school the next day...

"Marui-sama walk me home," said one fangirl.

"No take me home," screamed another.

"Marui," said Kaiya popping out of the crowd.

"There you are come on it's getting late," said Marui to Kaiya.

As soon as the fangirls heard that the crowd left.

I have to confess this is maybe my only chance, thought Kaiya.

"Um... Marui," started Kaiya.

"Yes," said Marui looking at her.

"Nothing," said Kaiya.

Baka you need to say it or you may never have another chance, thought Kaiya.

"Iloveyoumaruibuntasinceourchildhood," Kaiya said fast.

"Huh, I couldn't understand what you said can you please say it slowly," said Marui.

"Ok, 'I love you Marui Bunta since our childhood'," said Kaiya slowly.

"Well, you know what I love you since the day we met," said Marui while Kaiya and him walked into the sunset.

They stopped walking and touched their lips together.

End.

*This is the numerical system for Easter egg sizes in Brazil. A number 15 is about 175 grams. The largest is number 23 which is about 880 grams. The smallest is a number 6 which is about 60 grams.
