Night was just around the corner as Sonic and his friends were making their way to Shade Mansion. The mansion had been abandoned for over years when the owners of the mansion had "mysteriously" disappeared. Tonight, the gang was to sleep in the place.
"Ugh, I can't believe Sal made us do this," Sonic groaned.
"Shut it, Faker. Your fault for accepting the dare in the first place," Shadow growled for he was also tired of walking.
"Now fellas, this can be your chances to prove y'all are not a bunch of weenies," Bunnie grinned.
"Rabbot has a point, boys. Prove to us gals that you're no cowards," Rouge shared Bunnie's grin.
"Wonderful, now the chickies think we're cowards," Scourge remarked.
"Baww, don't be such a baby, Sir King," Amy's lips curved into a grin.
"I'm starting to regret bringing the girls with us," Sonic mumbled to Tails who was walking beside him.
"You're telling me," Tails groaned.
"We're here, boys," Fiona said as the group stood in front of mansion's rusty gates.
"This place looks creepy," Cream whispered to Tails.
"It's alright, baby; I'm here for you," Tails smiled at the teenage rabbit.
"I'm glad the two got together. They're so cute together," Amy cooed at Rouge.
"Look, the gates are held together by a lock," Fiona stated as she was examining the gates.
"Anybody here know how to pick a lock?" Sonic questions the group.
"Who needs picking when strength is all you need?" Amy stepped outta the group with her legendary Piko Piko Hammer in hand.
"This should be good," Shadow grinned.
With one blow of her deadly hammer, the lock was shattered and the gates opened.
"Remind me again why aren't you dating this chick, Blue?" Scourge teased his twin.
"Shush, you evil thing," Sonic blushed.
"Thanks, Amy-love. C'mon, y'all," Bunnie led the way.
"Wait for me, mon amour," Antoine walked beside his wife.
As the gang made their way to the mansion's front door, Cream suddenly got the eerie chills that someone was watching them. Step for step, breath for breath.
"G-guys, I'm having a very bad feeling about this," Cream warned the others.
"It's okay, Cream. We'll all be sticking together," Amy assured her best friend.
"What in the? The doors are unlocked," Sonic stated as he pushed open the doors of the mansion.
"I seriously don't wanna go in there now," the cream-colored rabbit started to back away from the group.
"Cream, it'll be alright. I'll be right by your side," Tails took a hold of Cream's hand.
"A-alright then, Tails."
"Let's go," Sonic entered first with the rest following behind him.
The walls of the mansion were coated with dark stains, torn pictures hanging lopsided, and cobwebs.
"This is just gross," Rouge commented.
The marble floors seemed to be spotless in the dark night light, but in reality, they were covered in mud.
"Well, we're here. Now who sleeps where?" Tails questions the other.
"Hmm, let's split into couples," Scourge smirked.
"Stripes with BatGirl, Foxy with Rabbit, Cowgirl with Frenchy, myself with Fiona, and Blue with Amy."
"You son of a bitch," Sonic growled.
"I am your opposite," the green hedgehog grinned.
All couples took off in different directions in their own rooms.
