I do not own Harry Potter

This is what I imagine goes on in teachers lounges. I remember the part from Half Blood Prince when Lavender ran into the room when Ron was unconscious and he still said Hermione's name. I just wanted to write something a little funny that could have happened afterwards.

Severus walked side by side with McGonagal, Dumbledore and Slughorn a few feet in front of them. He noticed the small smile playing at the corner of her lips and the sparkle in her eyes.

"Is something amusing Minerva?"

She looked over at him, smiling briefly," Quite."

"Well what is it?"

"Nothing."

"You and Albus..." He mumbled under his breath.

The four of them came to one of the few teacher's lounges in the school all of them taking a seat in the chairs arranged in a circle.

The second that they sat down Severus began talking," Now the issue at hand..."

Dumbledore held up his hand," Not now Severus. I have something much more interesting to talk about. Did you all see that girl drama!"

Minerva laughed," Ron is the girl drama."

Slughorn chortled," It brings back memories!"

Severus looked at them with disbelief," What are you talking about?

Minerva spoke," Well Ronald Weasley of course. Did you see the way those girls were behaving or are you blind. Clearly they both have feelings for him!"

Severus was becoming angry," Why should we care?"

Albus winked," Because it's interesting. Don't tell me that you don't notice the relationships and behaviors of your students, Severus?"

"Well I don't. It's none of my concern."

Slughorn answered this time," Well you should. It adds a little color to your day and I think you could use a bit of color."

Minerva smiled," It's hilarious to pair the children up with their crush or the person they hate the most. Their reactions are hysterical. Once, I paired a boy and a girl together that I knew loved each other and wouldn't admit it. They didn't even look at each other for the entire class!"

"I've done something similar," said Slughorn," But it was with students who hated each other."

Albus cut in," It's hilarious watching them in the great hall. They stare at each other and then look away, only to stare again."

Minerva spoke," Ron, Lavender, and Hermione are one interesting triangle. Ron doesn't deserve either of them. Lavender would be better off with someone with much more energy and Hermione needs someone with a few more... brains."

Albus said," You know Hermione would be great with Harry, but he's too... confident. She would need someone like Draco."

Severus stood up," That Mu... She would not date my god-son. His parents would never allow it, nor I."

Minerva waved her hand," Sit down Severus. Now, what I think is that Hermione is in love with Mr. Weasly, but she won't say it, so now Lavender has filled that spot and she's jealous."

Albus nodded," I agree."

Severus tried to speak," Can we just..."

"Hush Severus," McGonagall spoke.

"I remember when I was in school," Minerva spoke," His name was Eric Maltese. He was an amazing wizard, the top of the class you know. I never told him how I felt and I regret it now."

Slughorn sniffed," I had my own version of Eric Maltese. She was a beauty."

Severus rolled his eyes and stood again," I'll be leaving. I have things to do."

He left the room. With that, the other teachers stood.

Slughorn said," Well I have things to do too. Goodbye.:

He departed leaving Minerva and Albus alone.

Minerva sat back," Did you have anyone in your school age days, Albus?"

"I did. He was perfect in every way."

They talked for another half hour and then left the room still talking."
