Told You So
The warm golden light filtered through the trees leaves, dancing around me in golden rays with softening warmth. I sat with my eyes closed as the wind blew my hair lightly; my book which I had been reading, now lay abandoned on my round outstretched stomach, which held a precious little life.
I could almost imagine the old Sydney's reaction - the one who hadn't meet Rose yet, the one who still thought vampires were evil undead creatures of the night - her reaction would be of pure terror and disgust. But now, all I felt was joy, happiness and that what was inside me was right.
The father, I kind of wished I had noticed his feelings for me sooner. But I think the slowness of me finally realising his feelings, also finally let me fully accept my own feelings towards him. And when I had told him the truth and when he smiled and kissed me. And how it felt utterly perfect, I knew what we were doing was right
I felt eyes on me then, and like heavy magnets my eyes opened and gazed directly into his emerald eyes. He gave me a warm smile, filled with all these emotions I knew he harboured for me. His lean tall figure came cautiously into the sun walking with grace in his steps. He knelt down next to me our faces level, his eyes burning into mine creating warm bubbly feelings inside.
"Sage," he whispered. His hand moved lightly through my hair as his gaze lowered to my stomach, and a sly grin appeared. "Interesting book, aren't my bedroom moves erotic enough for you tasting?"
I blushed violently, moving the book off my stomach and away from his amused gaze. "No your moves are more than perfect how they are; I just wanted to see why everyone is talking about this book."
"Mhmm, 'Fifty Shades of Grey' mommy porn, never thought you the type."
I rolled my eyes at his sly grin. "Really?" I asked. "You think I'm not the type."
"Well when you think about it I guess maybe you are the type…"
I blushed at his statement avoiding his eyes.
He chuckled drawing a finger along my face as my head turned towards his. He looked at me with an intense look as his lips slowly meet mine. I felt my mouth respond almost immediately, my lips kissed his back with excitement as his tongue brushed lightly against my lips and I willingly opened my mouth as our tongues danced together slowly tasting each other's mouths. We eventually broke apart, mine and his breathing both accelerated, his eyes were filled with emerald desire and I knew that mine were holding the same thing; he drew a finger along my cheek resting it at the corner of my mouth.
"I love you."
I smiled at his statement, which he naturally delivered with complete honesty.
"I love you too, Adrian"
He smiled back at me, his gaze softened as he looked towards my stomach. "And I love this little girl as well." He placed his hands on my stomach, before slowly leaning his head lightly on it. He was looking at me sideways with a look of happiness and contentment.
"A girl?" I asked, my eyebrow rising slightly. "How do you know it's a girl?"
"Because I'm a genius."
I laughed at this, feeling a slight kick which ended up hitting Adrian in the jaw, he smiled brightly at this.
"See a girl, she just confirmed it."
"That could've been a kick of disagreement."
He looked at me and laughed.
"What?" I answered with confusion.
"Okay, Sage, if you're so adamant it's a boy, it's a boy, but if the baby turns out to be a girl, well I told you so."
I rolled my eyes at him with a slight smile. "Okay. Whatever you say"
3 months later.
I held my sleeping daughter Maybelle in my warm arms, as Adrian and I both gazed lovingly at her small form.
"I told you so." Adrian whispered.
So, the end. Please review, tell me what you think, good, bad it all will be helpful.
