her life is plain. at least for now. what happens when the imaginary character that she made up comes to life? things are not as dull as they seem.
she looked into the mirror. she sighed; how plain she looked. green irises, long, brown hair that was fluffy at the end, double-lidded eyes that had eyebags underneath, even white teeth, slightly tanned skin, a handful of freckles strewn across her cheeks.
her friend, camille (she was part french), was popular because of her sassy and easygoing personality. camille was often surrounded by many classmates, so she often found it hard to talk to camille except for during lesson time, which was also a highly inappropriate time to chat with anyone at all. the two of them shared a common interest though: pokemon.
the world of pokemon was complex. it was made up by satoshi tajiri and the main character was ash ketchum, from pallet town. they made-believe that the world of pokemon was real, and that the main characters had children.
she now stared at the mirror closely. something was very odd. she had changed. as in, the she in the mirror, not the she she. her hair had darkened to jet black and grew to her hips. her eyes became larger and with longer lashes and had become viridian-coloured. the freckles had also disappeared. her skin tone had lightened, the lips had became pinker. and her clothes changed the most. she had been wearing a plain t-shirt with 'mermaid' embossed on it in shiny letters on the top and three-quarter pants that she so dearly loved. the person in the mirror was wearing a pale blue crop top, a sleeveless coat on the outside, faded denim cut-off shorts, and as it was a full-length mirror, she could see sparkly blue sneakers. on her hands were lilac and blue fingerless gloves.
she gasped. it was her oc, or rather, arashi.
without thinking, she put her hand on the surface of the mirror and it passed through. she immediately shrank back. the arashi her stepped out of the mirror. grinning broadly, she reached a hand out for her to shake.
"hey, i'm arashi. nice to meet you."
arashi looked around and gaped. "where am i?" she spluttered, looking at arashi ridiculously. she caught sight of herself in the mirror and screamed. "i don't look like that, tell me I don't look like that! ru would faint if she sees me like this!" she looked around anxiously as she watched all of this with amusement.
"uh, by ru, do you mean haruna? i'm gabriella. you can call me… gabe." gabe raised an eyebrow as arashi hastily turned around.
"oh, what? that's such a weird name!" she giggled, then quickly corrected herself, "i'm so sorry, i don't mean to be rude. i'm arashi ayemi ketchum. how do you know about ru?" she looked suspiciously at gabe, who bit her lip.
"well, you see. I'm kind of like your—" she was interrupted by a scream of joy as arashi looked at her bed.
"that's such an awesome bed!" she dove straight for it, and grabbed a pillow in the process. if this was in a anime, gabe would have sweatdropped.
"I didn't know that I wrote her personality like that…" gabe muttered to herself. she raised her voice a little higher and told arashi, "guess I'll be taking care of you these few days, huh?" she folded her arms as she heard a few muffled sounds of 'yes' and 'thanks'. she facepalmed.
just then, there was a knock on the door. gabe gasped, and looked wildly from arashi, who was hugging her favourite bolster tightly, to the door. "gabriella! gabe!"
oh, crap, gabe thought, it's mum. "gabe? are you in there?"
"yeah, just a moment, mum!" gabe called back, and looked hopelessly at arashi, who, still clutching the bolster, piped, "did you know a moment is usually seven minutes?"
gabe frowned and put her index finger to her lips, motioning for arashi to keep quiet, but it was too late. "it's dinner time, just go downstairs within five minutes, kay? and what was that weird noise?"
"it's nothing! i was just, um, talking to myself!
