O.K. now for my disclaimer: I own nothing that has to do with LOTR, like Legolas, Aragorn, Pippin, Frodo, Sam, Merry, Gandalf, Boromir, Mirkwood or Thranduil. However, I do own Enelya, Elandili, Lessien/Elenday, Elwing, Alatriel, Aleuin, and Aerandir. Not necessarily the NAME but the person itself.
O.K. now on to the story. I hope you enjoy it and please review; I like hearing peoples' opinion. Also another reason for reviews is because I want to know how many people like my first chapter so I know if I should write some more and post it on So PLEASE REVIEW!
A Tale of Untold Futures
Regal oak trees towered over her head as she flew through the forest. The only sounds present were the hawk flapping its wings over head, the thundering horse hooves below, and the beating heart of the girl within. At the current she was in Mirkwood forest headed to see her long time friend, Legolas. They had known each other for as long as they could comprehend. Alatriel was a girl of surpassing beauty. She had platinum blond hair and bright blue eyes (typical of and Elf).
Alatriel slowed her horse to a walk so as to listen to her surroundings. She found it odd that there were no Elves walking about just inside the tree line, because usually there were. And Alatriel also found it odd that she heard not even a squirrel. The Elf quickened her horses pace so as to arrive at her destination sooner.
The dark, humid forest seemingly stretched for miles. And paranoia was getting the best of Alatriel. Every few minutes the girl looked over her shoulder to see if anything was behind her, hoping that the next time she looked over her shoulder she would see another elf and not just the dirt path. Alatriel still kept looking over her shoulder to see if there was even a squirrel, of all things, scampering across the road. Nothing.
