Asahi- Hello this is my first Full Metal Alchemist fic. I haven't watched the whole series or read the manga so if I've got something wrong please tell me.

Disclaimer: I, sadly, do not own Full Metal Alchemist.

The whiskey settled over the ice, seconds later the glass was back to his lips. He drained the glass, setting it down with a dull click. He motioned for the bartender, another glass. It made the fifth one. Beofre he took another drink, he shifted his weight and moved the hair from his eyes.

Envy sat at a table 10 feet away. The man he had stared at continuously for two hours had short black hair, with longer red bangs. Envy admired how gracefully the man moved. This was the third time in a week Envy had simply watched him.

Envy knew a lot about the other man. He knew the man had problems with drinking, and he was working with the military in his spare time. He also realized something bad must had happened tonight.

A woman made her way over to the guy, whispering something to him. Envy's pulse quickened, he sucked in his breath. To Envy's relief the man shook his head, refusing the woman's offer. Envy allowed his anger to subside, relaxing into his chair.

The man stood up, grabbing his coat. He was either going home or to his girlfriend's house. The thought made Envy furious.

Envy followed the man out, walking silently in the shadows. The man never noticed him, or didn't care.

After fifthteen minutes the man's house came into view, all the lights were off. It was an unusual occurence. Envy watched the man enter the house, heard him flipping on the lights, saw the door close.

Time passed slowly as Envy watched the serene house, then the lights went off. Envy could have sat for hours watching the lifeless house, awaiting the movements of the man. However, Lust had asked him to return earlier than normal.

He left slowly, willing himself away. It become harder to leave everyday. Envy felt complete disappiontment as the house fell from view.

Asahi- The first chapter's very short. I'll try making the second longer. (Maybe I'll even give the "man" a name.)
