Chapter 1: ilness

That day, femke was asked to come to the royal palace of the firenation to talk about a very…. Delicant matter….. One of the members of the mysterious group that had tried to kipnap korra when she had been a kid, and had been imprisoned ever since that day had became ill….. Very ill….. She wouldn't make it…. Unless someone would willingly take her into his ore her home and care for her… willingly….. Which was a little troublesome since she was still a combustionbender, the lowerst of the lowest kind in this demension….. So thats why zuko had asked femke to come in, since she was a fairy and a good friend of him, katara and the old team avatar, since she had been with their team before. And was now with the new team avatar because time in her own demension moved slower, since Femke was a very special girl…. She had magic powers….. Fairy powers to be precise…. And not any fairy powers….. Hers was the flame of the voortrix…, which made her able to bend all 4 elements, which could be a huge wildcard against p"li, if she would try and attack her to break free.

"Good of you too come"

Zuko said with a smile as he looked at the young couple before him, since femke had brought along her husband daniel. Who was also a fairy of the voortrix, the guide of the voortrix to be precise, one off the last decendants of the voortrix that lived three-thousand years ago.

"Glad to be here"

Femke said as they both bowed for them. Zuko bowed back slightly then turned to master katara who handed them a wanted poster of a girl with raven black hair and the unmistakable combustion bender tatoo on her forehead.

"This is the case... this woman is a member of a unown group who tried to kipnap the avatar as a kid..."

Katara started as she let the young couple look at the photo for a while. she looked meanly at the camerea. A chain around her neck to keep her down and robes that had seen beter days around her body.. which was sooooooo thin...

"She is sitting in a secet ice prison in the northern tundra...but she fell ill... very ill..."

Katara said as she looked sadly at the tundra now. Femke now looked at her as she came standing next to her.

"And you want us...to cure her?"

Femke asked as she looked at the endless snowery wildland... were somewere... this p"li was...

"Yes... and maybe... you can even get her too talk... if you wanna help with that that is..."

Katara said with a smirk as she placed a hand on the younger girls shoulder. Femke looked at her nodding before she and daniel walked with the small group of worldleaders towards the greath stairs that let out of the castle and towards the truck that was parked before the door. Eska and desna immidiatly popped in the back. Followed by daniel... femke sat in the front with katara and zuko flew along on his pet dragon and let the way

"So... how long has she been locked away there... "

Femke asked as she watched the snowy landscape with a pondering look.

"For thirtheen years... and she'll be staying there until she talked..."

Katara said as she watched femke with a sad look. Since she knew as a mother how bad this sounded. That girl… so thin and most likely forced to become bad because of her powers… was locked away in a dark cold cell… and all because she most likely had no choice then to keep her mouth shut…

"Then... how bad was it what she did... i mean... it sounds... rough"

Femke asked with a sad look as she looked at katara shocked. Feeling this whole punishment was far to hard for the girl. Especially since all she had most likely done was trying to kipnap a young girl…

"What she did was pretty harsh...not only did she attemped to kipnap korra as a child…. She also… along with her friends… took sokka from me.. Even do he was already very old when it happened… but despite that… I think that... if you could reach in her… and get the GOOD out that is burried deep inside her… i would allow you to get her out..."

Katara miled as she placed a hand on femke's knee and smiled at her gently. Femke smiled back at her sadly. Knowing it must have been awfully hard for katara to lose the only living family member she had most likely left at that point. But happy that she would try and forgive her if that would mean the girl would talk…

"Im gonna try and do my best"

Femke replied. And then went silent. For the rest of the ride. They only spoke up again when the car ride up to the small building with the white lotus sign on it, that labeled the entrace of the cell.

'I... is this it...?"

Femke asked stamming as she got out of the truck and looked at the small building while she tightly wrapped all her clothes around her, since it was bitter cold outside…

"Yes... this is were pli's being kept"

Katara said as she and daniel came next to her after which daniel wrapped his arm around his wife lovingly, both for warmth and comfort, since daniel could feel femke was really touched deeply by what she saw… a small snow made building in the middle of nowhere… and nothing more…

"Its gonna be okay hon... "

The older man silently said as they followed the world leaders into the small elevator which was the ground floor of the building as it seemed... since when they entered the building they could see the cell was burried... meters under the ice...

"Cozy..."

Daniel commanded as he looked over the railing into dept towards the cell.

"We build this place secretly when unlaq was still here to keep a very ..special prisoner... she's a powerfull firebender named p"li who can create explosions with her mind"

Zuko told the twins eska en dena as they entered the elevator that slowly zoomed down deeper under the ice... Since they had been waiting by the truck until femke and her husband had arrived and hadn't heard were they were heading until now.

"Just like explosion man... back in the days..."

Femke said with a smile as she looked at daniel with a small smile who nodded in return, also remembering this explosion man zuko had hired to kill the avatar back in the day…

"Yes... do this woman DOES talk and seems sane..."

Zuko replied as he looked at femke with a small smile. Femke smiled back before they all exited the elevator and went to a small platform that moved over the small cliff the prison itself was build on.

"The intense cold keeps her from firebending... so no need to get frightent of her..."

Zuko said as the bridge drew closer to its destination. Daniel nodded and femke shivered... getting closer to daniel to get a little warmer.

"Are you scared femke... your trembling..."

Katara asked with a worried look on her friend. Femke looked at her with a small smill before she nodded. Even do she knew what kind of a bender p"li was... she was scared on the inside... cause who knows what this woman was capable of... and this is what made that she was trembling as the bridge reached the other side were a stern look.

"Were here to pick up the prisoner open the door"

Zuko commanded. The guard immidiatly saluted and opened the door. Revealing another guard sitting next too a thin girl, wrapped in rags that looked really really ill.

"Hello there... were here to help you... "

Femke said as she slowly walked to her. Her matrial instincts taking over as soo as she saw the poor creature huddled in the corner... Shivering from the ice cold and the fever she was most likely having right now.

"She's unconsious... the poor creature is at the end of her power"

The man said as he wrapped the enormous woman in a blanket then handed her to femke who took her in her arms and immidiatly cuddled her like a mother would do with her child. Pli smiled as she snuggled closer to the warmth. Feeling that whoever was carrying her was gonna help her... hoping that it was her zaheer who had come to safe her at last...

" she's so calm... almost TOO calm"

Femke thought as she looked at the girl with a soft look in her eyes. Not getting that this woman had been the one she had been so afraid of a few minutes ago… and now… she was holding her close… calmly cuddling her to keep her a little warmer then she had been before… feeling the poor woman had been threw a lot

"Not that i have seen her awake yet... oo well... we"ll see what happened by then..."

Femke thought as she carried the unconsious woman out of her cell... over the metal bridge... in the elevator and then into the truck... away from the hell that was her former prison... Katara looking at femke worriedly every now and then as the truck started to ride. Seeing the woman was troubled by something, and daniel smiling as he gently sat as close to femke as possible, holding p'li close as well, feeling just as match as his wife that p'li needed them… and started to act as a parent towards the poor girl…. As the truck sped threw the snowy tundra… on its way back to the palace…

A/N

Femke is the voortrix fairy and lives in another demension in which the time flows slower then in the avatar timeline. This is why femke and daniel also knew about explosionman in the time of avatar aang. Since they have been there. More about this will follow as the story goes on.

The guard that helped p"li when femke and daniel arrived is defaintly gonna come back and play a role in future episodes , do im gonna leave it up to YOU GUYS to decide what kind of role he is gonna play.
