Megumi roamed the forest near his house, as he did every day. He heard a noise, and immediately shifted into the form of a wolf. Wolf Megumi turned a corner, and found a strange small girl there. The girl had long pale green hair, and wore a light green dress covered partly by a dark green apron with one pocket. She looked about nine or ten years old, but was in a straightjacket! Confused, Megumi came closer, hid behind a tree, and transformed back into his human self.

"Excuse me, Miss?" Megumi stepped out towards the girl.

She turned towards him, but said nothing.

"Do-do you need help?" Megumi started to feel awkward, being the only one talking.

The girl nodded, a monotone expression on her face.

"Turn around then." Megumi instructed.

The girl did as she was told.

Megumi quickly shifted into his wolf form, ripped open the back of the straightjacket, and shifted back to his human form.

The girl turned back to Megumi. "T-thank you." she looked down.

"I'm Megumi." Megumi said. "What's your name."

"Miku." the girl sullenly replied, peeking out from behind her bangs.

"Ah, nice to meet you Miku. I'm seventeen years old." Megumi smiled. "How old are you?"

"F-fourteen." Miku replied in her usual monotone voice.

Megumi was in shock. FOURTEEN?! he thought. She looks about nine or ten, let alone fourteen!

"So, uh, Miku, may I ask why you were in that straightjacket?" Megumi responded, shaking off the shock.

Miku looked up at him. "No you may not." she said, completely serious.

"Oh, uh, right. So, do you live around here?"

"No."

"Oh, where do you live then?"

"I don't."

"You don't what? Live anywhere?"

"That is correct, sir."

"What? Miku, I'm confused. Point to the direction from the last building you slept in."

Miku pointed in a Northwest direction.

Megumi was confused. "The only building in that direction is… the asylum?"

Miku nodded. "That place is where I last slept."

"So, the straightjacket, you had that on because you…" Megumi couldn't find it in him to finish his sentence. He got up and started to back away.

"Please don't go." Miku said. Her voice was monotone, as usual, but something told Megumi she needed him to say, so he sat back down. "I am a good person. Are you?"

"Am I what?"

"Are you a good person?"

"I, um, don't know."

"Then this will test you." Miku stood up.

Miku took a few paces back, and amazing, white, birdlike wings surrounded her. She grew taller, and her green hair turned a stunning blonde. Her skin gained color, and her dress was replaced with a flowing white gown. The only resemblance to the real Miku was the figure's beautiful green eyes.

"Do you see me, Megumi?" Miku asked.

Megumi nodded, enchanted by her beauty.

"Keep watching."

Miku, this time, was surrounded by giant, black, batlike wings. Her skin turned back to its freakishly pale color, and she shrunk back to her normal height. Her flowing white gown was replaced with a skin tight black evening gown. Her beautiful green eyes turned bright red.

"Do you see me now, Megumi?" Miku asked again.
