Whiskers
Crossover time!
As I jumped forward into a roll, avoiding a spell, I heard the caster quietly curse and sigh. There's never a time where I don't enjoy annoying my enemy laners.
"What's wrong, Lux?" I purred, resting on my knee and balancing my orb on the tips of my fingers. "Can't hit me?" She sighed again and twirled her staff, sending sparks of light flying.
"Your taunting does not help."
"I know." She sighed again as I gave her a wink. "Instead of fighting, how about we take this into the jungle? I'm sure that I can find a quiet spot for the both of us."
"Why me? Why don't you ask the person that's already in the jungle?"
"Well, I like blondes, and Zac is just... gooey." Lux didn't sigh this time, she just stared at me with a tired look. "So, how about it?" Pushing myself to my feet, I carefully walked over to the Demacian and cupped her cheek. Even when she's pissed off at me, she's cute.
"I don't want to sleep with you, Ahri."
"Trust me, Lux." I let my orb float in the air and cupped her other cheek, smiling. "With me, there isn't any sleeping involved." After another few seconds of staring, one of the lane minions behind me made a noise, and I barely had enough time to throw myself back before I was spiked. Rammus stood between Lux and I, flexing his weird little hands.
"OK?" He looked back at the mage.
"Yes, I'm okay." She said, looking back up at me. "I'm just against someone annoying."
"Annoying?" I gasped and put a hand on my chest. "You think that I'm annoying, Lux?"
"Incredibly." My other hand went to my forehead as I pretended to be offended.
"How could you say such a thing?" When I opened one eye, Lux had her face in one of her hands, and Rammus was looking between us in confusion. "Well, if you don't appreciate me, I shall take my leave!" Taking another step back, I started to charge my recall, but I felt something... wrong. "Lux?"
"What?"
"Something isn't right." I felt both pairs of eyes on me. Trying to step forward to cancel the recall didn't work; I just squished my nose against the spell. "Lux?"
"Hang on." Hanging her staff from her belt, the mage walked forward and tried to lightly punch me, but her fist hit the wall of the spell. "What in the world...?" The ground at my feet started to smoke, but it didn't look like fire. The panic started to settle in my chest as I hit the wall of the spell, trying to hit my way out.
"What's happening?" I heard Zac ask.
"Ahri's trapped!" Even with Lux yelling, I was almost numb to the rift. The smoke was getting higher, and I was scared of suffocation. Huge, green arms wrapped around the spell, but I don't know how that would have helped. Before the smoke covered my face, I locked eyes with Lux. I don't know what she was feeling. She was probably annoyed at me like always, but I saw concern in those blue eyes. Before either of us could speak, I felt myself vanish.
It's hard to explain. I felt myself drift out of the rift, but I was weightless. It didn't last long, and when my feet found floor, the shock made me fall to my knees, and I inhaled sharply, which made me cough. It made me cough a lot. I was definitely on grass, since I felt dirt in my hands as I gripped it. After a few unattractive wheezes, I caught my breath, and looked up.
In front of me was a boy. He was staring back at me with as much confusion as I felt. Blonde, messy hair that fell over his... headband? Whatever. The more important thing was that his eyes were a wonderful sky blue, and he had three marks on each cheek; just like mine.
"Uh, Naruto?" There was a voice behind me, but they sounded young, so I wasn't too worried. "Who did you just summon?"
"Not... not who I was supposed to." He didn't want to break eye contact with me. "Who are you?"
"Who are you?" He flinched as I spoke.
"Uh, Konohamaru, please go and get somebody." That's not a good sign. I'm in danger. A lot of danger. I shifted my toes to the floor and pushed off, jumping over this 'Naruto', and running into the trees. I need to get back to the institute from wherever this place is.
~~~~~~~~~~~~X~~~~~~~~~~~~
As two pairs of feet ran through Konoha, the villagers dodged out of the way and looked back at their hero, wondering why he and his 'student' were in such a hurry.
"Kiba!" When Naruto called out, he almost tripped over his own feet before crashing into his friend. Instead of catching him, the ninja just sidestepped and let the blonde fall onto his face. "Kiba!" He called out again, scrambling to his feet. "I really need your help!"
"With what?" Before either Naruto or Konohamaru could speak, Sakura jogged over, confusion on her face.
"What's wrong?" She asked, looking between all three of them. "Why are you running through the village like that?"
"Well, I was trying to show Konohamaru how to summon something, and instead of a toad, like I wanted, I think I summoned... a woman."
"A woman?" Kiba asked, folding his arms.
"She was a fox!" The younger ninja yelled.
"I don't care how attractive she was-"
"No, Sakura, he's right; she was a fox!" Naruto ruffled his hair with both hands. "She had the ears, the tails! I don't know where she came from!"
"Wait, wait, wait." Kiba held his hands up. "She had fox ears and a tail?"
"Tails." Konohamaru hissed.
"Whatever. What you're saying is, there's a demon running around the village?"
"I, uh, don't think she's dangerous." Naruto said, scratching the back of his head. "The only thing she did was stare at me until I asked Konohamaru to go and find somebody, then she ran."
"So, what did you need me for?" Kiba asked, looking down at Akamaru as the dog pushed his hand onto his head.
"Can you track her? I'm kinda worried about what would happen if somebody else finds her." Sakura cleared her throat and held her hand up.
"You want to find a demon and bring her back?"
"What if she's not a demon?" None of the villagers stopped to watch the staring contest between the ninjas. "Kiba, can you help me track her?"
"I'm with you." He and Naruto fist bumped, which made Sakura sigh.
"I'll take Konohamaru and speak to Tsunade. You better know what you're doing, Naruto." He just nodded.
It'll get stronger as I get more chapters out.
