Ok I know that this is really REALLY short but I had to write it. Just a warning though this is my first NCIS fanfic and so the characters may be a bit OOC. I was channeling Jackson Gibbs' spirit though last night after watching the episode so it's not my fault. lol. Anyway as you know this is a Gabby fic so GibbsXAbby. I love that pairing and I hope you enjoy this fic.
Leroy, there were a few things that I wanted to talk to you about while you were here but seeing as I didn't get a chance and I didn't think that you would appreciate me saying these things in front of your team I have decided to write to you instead. Yes I know I could have called but I didn't want you to be interrupting me. First things first, I would like to tell you how honest to God proud I am of you. You have turned into a fine man and I only wish I could take some of the credit for helping you become the man you are today. We may have had our share of differences in the past but all I have ever wanted was for you to be happy. This leads me to my second point and that is about your lovely Abby. Don't try to deny it; I saw the way you were looking at each other and I wanted you to know how happy I am that you have found someone to truly care about. Shannon would want you to be happy too as you well know and so don't you go feeling guilty for loving someone else. It has been 15 years since they died and while that doesn't mean you should ever forget about them you should still move on and let yourself be happy. I don't want you to look back and have regrets about not taking the chance when you had it. I would ask you to keep her safe but from the way you were hovering over her while she was here I don't think that will be necessary. The way I see it I very much doubt there is a single thing that girl could ever do that would piss you off. So just remember to keep in touch and invite me to the wedding.
-Jackson
Gibbs smiled softly as he placed the worn letter back into his drawer before walking into the kitchen. Not making any sudden movements, Gibbs stood and watched as his wife raced around the room. Finally noticing his presence she whirled around and glared at him.
"Gibbs, how many times have I told you not to sneak up on me like that?" Abby said sounding annoyed but the effect was ruined by her pout and Gibbs grinned before walking over and pressing his lips against her forehead. 'Thanks dad.'
Thanks for reading and it would be nice if you could review but I'm not really counting on any since it is so short and everything so if you don't feel like reviewing don't bother.
