Ok, so this is just a short, pointless one-shot I wrote while my internet was down. It may or may not become a story, but chances are it most likely won't. It depends on if I can get more ideas, and if I'm not to lazy. This was inspired by the Ke$ha song "Dancing With Tears in My Eyes."

Oh, and I'm not abandoning What If?, I've just been lazy with that, too.

Disclaimer: I don"t own Warriors, or any of Ke$ha's songs.

Tears

A flash of lightning lit up the sky, and thunder filled waiting ears. Pellets of rain shot through the air like bullets, stinging the pelt of a nearly invisible black shape dashing recklessly across the plains. For someone as heartless as a thunderstorm, they would laugh in the face of this sorry creature and only pound down harder. But, to one who actually cared to look, would realize it is not just any creature, but a cat. A skinny black she-cat.

And, if one really stayed long enough to notice, she had tears running down her already-soaked face. No, not just little tears, falling one-by-one, definitely not, this cat was sobbing. Why? Of course, one would not know why by just looking at her. You would have to travel deep into her mind. Her thoughts, her memories. But, that is surely impossible.

Thunder boomed again, and lighting struck, once, twice. The second hit dangerously close to the she-cat, but her stride didn't falter a bit. It was as if she didn't notice, or simply didn't care.

After a moment, the she-cat's eyes opened. They were deep, deep blue, like a sapphire. If her fur was dry, one would notice it was about medium-length, and gave her face a nice rounded look. All in all, this cat truly was beautiful. However, despite her beauty, many disliked her. But one cat, he did not dislike her. In fact, he loved her. But, because this love was forbidden, along with the fact that he was dead, it would not work.

The she-cat, she had stopped running. She was now standing, and if one looked closer, would realize she was on the edge of a cliff. And, if one took the time to listen over the thunder and rain, they would hear her talking. No, not talking, screaming.

"Why! Why did I do it?! It was all for nothing! Nothing!" Her screeches flooded out into the sky, and, for a moment, the rain just seemed to…stop.

"She told! She told the leader! My own sister!" Anyone listening right now, would surely have no idea what this she-cat was screeching about. But, if one actually came to believe that the tiny, twinkling stars above were cats, dead cats to be exact, would know that these spirits knew exactly what it all meant. One in particular, more than the others.

"I'm sorry! Can you hear me? I'm sorry, Forestbreeze!" At last, a name to go by. However, this could not be the she-cat's name, no. Perhaps the name of the tom, who was looking down at her right now, from the cats in the sky?

"I'm sorry!"

Then, with no warning whatsoever, the beautiful black she-cat with the sapphire-blue eyes leaped, off of the cliff, down to the rocks and sharp stones hundreds of feet below. Was it ever mentioned that this she-cat had three tiny bodies within her, hardly more than little lumps with legs? Yes, she was pregnant. But what did it matter now? All four would be dead as soon as she hit the rocks.

Her screech was heard, then silence. Then, the rain and thunder and lightning started back up again, as if nothing had ever happened. But, maybe…just maybe….

Maybe it never did…? And this was all some kind of horrible nightmare…?

Surely not.
