"Come on Strider~ Just one little lick, that's all it takes. And all your personal problems will be solved!" Roxy's voice was shrill and high, piercing almost but not quite.
Dirk started to weigh out the consequences in his mind. Upsides: All personal problems gone; downsides: you'll look like an idiot, you're technically on drugs, and who knows what the fuck is in that lollipop!
"Diiiiiiiirk~" Jane's voice came in a sweet tune, almost like sugar. Hadn't she been depressed before? Like the slit your wrists depressed. Maybe it was worth it...
"Think about it, Mr. Bro," Equihal started, "it took being mixed with a sweaty, horse lover for me to be truly happy! We might need to take even more drastic measures with you... Seeing your predicament..." His hand reached out, touching the white lollipop stick, it's layered paper cold, warmed slightly at parts by Roxy's peach coloured hands. He gripped it in his black, fingerless glove covered hands.
"Oooooh, how great! Does this mean that we can all get quadrupedal married again!" Jake's voice was high pitched, but not to the point of being feminine, his English accent emphasized by the new found pitch in his speech.
Dirk's hand shook... Should he? The confection had an odd attraction to his face and, mesmerized by it's powers, he quickly gave it one, short lick.
He looked down and his clothes, the bright blue t-shirt contrasting with the orange and brown pinstripe pants. His skin was now the same lively colour of pink that the others were. But something wasn't right...
"Diiiiiiirk! How are you? Don't you think life's just sweet as sugar?" Roxy slurred, having taken a couple shots before heading over.
He looked up at her confused. Life just "sugar sweet"? Life was NOT sugar sweet! His older brother had been murdered by the batterwitch and his personal problems were still quite major and looming over him.
"Oh that is just SAD! Not even this crazy, f $#ed up candy crack can lighten you up!" Equihal chuckled.
"Just let the candy magic take over~ Don't fight it, release yourself!" Jane's words rang in his ears.
"Well consider me SUGAR SHOCKED! I'd fucking love to but... God, why me!" Dirk groaned noticing something. They were too big, this personal problems were too intense for him to just let go, his push for constant awareness not allowing him to release his soul long enough for the candy to work.
"Hey let's make some weapons!" Jake announced, pulling a spork from one of his bags.
"Why me. They're all so happy and cheery, but I'm stuck lifeless and emotionless. IT'S NOT FAIR!" Dirk sobbed, "it's not fair..."
