This is what happens when I should be writing an essay. JKR owns everything and anything you may recognise from Harry Potter. (Oh, and I'm totally aware how much I have abused syntax and full stops).

Then chaos ensued

He was watching her dance. She could feel his eyes on her as she waltzed across the dance floor.

Her gold dress swayed in the slight breeze of the night and she moved her head so her hair would follow the pattern that her dress made. The effect was mesmerising. She knew he was trying to look away, but couldn't. For a second she chanced a glance in his direction. A side glance, a glance that was meant for nobody else.

She was right, he was looking at her. Their eyes met across the room. She smiled and he looked away. Her smile was full of hope, his eyes filled with longing and woe. She knew he was dangerous. But she also knew that she loved him.

She looked his way again, this time he was talking to an old man. He was smiling, she wondered if he was thinking of her.

He looked towards the dance floor again. His gaze was not focused on the dancers, but on the sky. She looked up too. It was a curious sky. The stars seemed distant. The darkness was oppressive, a sign of things to come.

But in the sky there was faith. A shining shooting star was glowing with the hope of a happy thought.

The star fell to earth. It spoke to the party.

They looked at each other once more. It was a look of panic. Then chaos ensued.
