So I was going to upload this closer to Christmas but I couldn't help myself. Merry Christmas Everyone! c:
I arrived at the local park at exactly 11 o'clock, the time Quinn and I had always met up at on Christmas morning to exchange presents. The morning was cold and the ground was covered in a thin layer of snow. I sat at the same bench we always had, right in the centre of the deserted park, near the playground. The reason we sat here is because it was exactly half way from both our houses. I knew this because when we were eleven we counted the steps from our driveways to this very seat as we had our arms looped together. I pulled my jacket closer to me, to keep me warm from the light wind breeze and waited for Quinn.
A few minutes later a saw a glimpse of a cat in a distance and smiled. Quinn was coming and she brought along Louie who was her black and white cat. "Come here, boy!" I yelled out for him and he came running towards me and hopped up onto my lap where I wrapped my thick jacket around him to keep him warm. I looked up and saw the blonde walking up to the bench with a smile. "Hi." She said coming and sitting next to me. "Hello Quinn." I returned her smile. "Merry Christmas." She held out her present to me and wished me a merry Christmas in return. We'd done this every year since we were eleven exactly a year after we'd met at church. I took the gift and placed it in my lap being careful of Louie who was snuggled in my jacket and handed her a small box wrapped in Christmas paper. We took no time to worry about the paper and ripped through it within seconds. In mine was a blank cardboard box with no labels. I stuffed the paper in my bag and opened the box to find the cutest gold star with my name on it along with a small pink bear. I looked over at Quinn and saw her smiling at me as held the charm necklace with a heart in her hand along with the matching ear rings. "Will you help me put it on?" "Of course." She handed me the necklace before turning around and moving her hair out of the way. I removed my mittens and put my arms over her head, pulling the necklace around to do the necklace up. She turned back, looking down at her new necklace with a grin. When she looked up she leaned in for a hug and I returned it. Her scent always smelt amazing and I felt myself slightly losing control. I placed a kiss on her cheek before leaning back. My eyes met her soft blue eyes and before I knew it, her lips were on mine, kissing me sweetly. The kiss only lasted maybe five seconds but to me it felt a lot longer like the world had stopped just so I could just enjoy the moment. "What was that for?" "I like you, Rach.."She whispered and I didn't even need to think of a reply, the words slipped out of my mouth. "I like you too." I leant back in for another and I felt her smile into the kiss. Another few seconds and we leaned our foreheads together. I opened my eyes and saw her huge smile and blushed cheeks. "Thankyou.." I whispered to her. "You're welcome, Rach."
That night I swear I could still feel the touch of her lips on mine.
