All belongs to Rowling, alas.
Tracings
It was an altogether unremarkable summer's day. A little hot, perhaps, but otherwise quite typical. Albus and Gellert lay together in a patch of shade, gazing together at a thick tome in front of them. As the afternoon had continued the pair had become less focused on the tome in front of them, and more on each other.
Eventually, Gellert closed the book and pushed it aside on the pretense that it was too hot to study. Pulling Albus' hand closer, he commanded, "Close your eyes"
"What are you…" Albus started, but trailed off. It was extraordinarily hard to resist Gellert when he was this intense. It was just one of the things that drew Albus to him.
Leaning back, he closed his eyes as Gellert began to trace a symbol on his palm. He had only finished the methodical line and begun the circle when Albus guessed—"The Deathly Hallows."
"How did you guess so soon?" The look of shock on Gellert's face was so pure Albus had to smile.
"Let me do you now." Gellert was silent, but nodded and closed his eyes. Albus thought for a second before carefully drawing on Gellert's palm.
The younger boy's brow furrowed in concentration. After several seconds pause, he said, tentatively, "A spiral?"
"No…" Albus blushed. "It was supposed to be a heart, but I suppose I am a poor tracer…"
"Verdammt," Gellert cursed softly under his breath. "I am a truly horrible guesser." He laughed nervously before smiling up at Albus. "I suppose you will have to teach me how to guess."
Albus smiled in return, pulling Gellert closer. "Indeed, I suppose I shall."
The mistake was laughed off, and as the initially slight touches progressed further, was soon forgotten.
* * * * * * *
But later, picking up the pieces, Albus couldn't help but wonder if somehow, it could have really mattered, even something as trivial as the inability to feel a heart…

Yes, two Grindeldore stories in rapid succession! Admittedly this one is rather short. Just a bit of fluff with angst at the end, based off of a real life thing. Hopefully it doesn't feel too overwrought.
Unfortunately, I must announce as well that my abandoned multichapter is being removed from the site, as I had no plan for where I was going, and the storyline was terribly cliché.
