Bea felt the butterflies in her stomach fluttering as she gave a quick speech about 'giving Oscar the kiss of his life'. She didn't expect that she'd end her day this way; Oscar was her best friend, now she had to be his true love. She knew she shouldn't be scared, but something told her otherwise.
She leaned in slowly until finally their lips met. Bea felt the electricity surging through her body, and couldn't help but wonder whether he would wake up. If he did, well, she knew she'd have some serious thinking to do.
Bea lifted her head to see if he had awoken to see his eyes flickering with life. She swallowed nervously.
"O-Oscar?" She asked. He had awoken with a smile. He couldn't help it. He'd been waiting for this moment since the first time he had laid eyes on his female friend. Now that it had happened, he felt that it was everything he had dreamed of and more. But what would she think of me now?
"B-Bea? Milo?" Oscar said hoarsely. Upon hearing his brother's voice, Milo gave Oscar a large hug.
"Look, bro, I'm sorry I made you think you had a secret admirer," Milo began. Bea, however, tuned out of his apology speech, drowning herself in her thoughts.
He needed true love's kiss to wake up. I kiss him and he wakes up. I know what that's supposed to mean, but…
And the fact that she enjoyed it scared her even more. She felt something that she had never felt before, something that she had wanted to feel with previous date but had been disappointed to find that she hadn't felt a single trace of. The fact that she finally got that feeling with her best friend freaked her out to no end. It sent her mind reeling and stuffed it with thoughts, things she had never thought of before. Maybe, just maybe, there's something there that I hadn't seen before…
A few minutes later, everyone had dispersed and the three friends decided to head home. Bea followed her friends quietly, trailing behind them a bit. She feared that things would get weird between them, and it seemed that now it was.
Oscar saw her keeping her distance and slowed down a bit so she would catch up.
"To be honest, I'm kinda freaked out too." Oscar admitted.
"Oh…uh, yeah, I just…wasn't expecting that, is all…" Bea said, keeping it simple.
"Me neither. I don't think anyone was. But…" Oscar took a deep breath. Were they ready for this yet?
"True loves kiss can be from a true friend's love, right?" He finished.
"Y-yeah, true friends. Friends can love each other in a friendly way," Bea responded nervously. Oscar sighed and stuffed his hands into his pockets.
It was gonna be a long night of sulking, and not just for Oscar…
I KNOWWWW its short don't shoot me. I said what I wanted to say, didn't I? I know I'm not the only one peeved about how this episode ended. They better make up for it in the next new episode, or I swear to god I am going to find their studio and slap some sense into them…anyways, review?
