Long ago around 150,000 years ago in fact, in another universe that is quite like our own the goddess Tsunami gave the Jurains her sentient Ouki-No-Ki or trees of the imperial family. When the trees partner with Juraians they are granted extreme power and longevity. They were also the central core of Jurain Ships, acting as power source and computer core. Tsunami then decided to become the 0th generation tree, the ultimate tree. From her all of the other Jurain trees originate. There are around 10 first generation Juraian trees known to exist, but one is unaccounted for. What became of this tree? Where did it go? Who was it given to?
Around 2,000 years ago the goddess Washuu (who just happens to be the sister of Tsunami) decided that she had had enough of being a goddess and gave up her powers to be able to analyze the mysteries of the universe. After she became a mortal, she gave birth to two children. One Mikumo Kuramitsu was born the natural way. The other, less known son, Mamoru was actually created though artificial insemination. The father was the king of Jurai at that time. Unfortunately, it would have been a disaster for Jurai if it became known that the king had a child with a commoner, an alien not from Jurai no less! In any case, Mamoru was sent to our own universe so that his birth would remain a secret. However, at the request of Washuu, Tsunami gave Mamoru the "missing" first generation Juraian tree, Douou-no- ki, which literally means secret knowledge tree. This was done because he technically was a prince of Jurai, and also related to Tsunami and Washuu. Thus, even though he doesn't remember his origins, Mamoru grew up to be quite the genius like Washuu. All he can recall is the need to protect his tree and its name. Currently his tree acts as the computer core of his base, but it has been given the outer appearance of a machine, and the name A.L.I.C.E. in order to protect its true identity. When Mamoru is in extreme danger he has the ability to use his trees power, but he has absolutely no control over his powers. Perhaps someday the goddesses Washuu, Tsunami, and Tokimi will tell him of his origins and he will be able to use his power to his fullest. Until that day, however, the goddesses are content to just watch over Mamoru.
