Author's Note and apologies:
Im sorry I havent been adding anything to this story. I've had a massive writers block and I have been going through some stuff at home. I am coming back though to finish this story though. I'll be restarting it because the way it started is hard for me to write anything extra. I'll be adding the new chapter one soon and a change to the summary soon as well.
Again, I am sorry.
In the revised story, Jazmine doesn't move away to go to a school of dance in New York. Instead, it's somewhat of a high school story in Woodcrest. It has to do with her stuggling with the two halfs of her identity as a birracial, especially since she's going to a dance school that's dominately white. She views dance and movement as something that shouldn't be limited by race and is one of the purest expression of one's soul. The school that she's going to teaches dance as if it's supposed to repress her as well as the black side of her.
The story takes place with Jazmine being in her final year of high school (17 going on to 18 instead of in her mid teens) and she's still going out with Huey.
Thats all I can note for now. Anything else would be giving it away.
Hope you enjoy and hopefully I can get the first and second chapter out soon
Pray that I do (laughes nervously)
