Well that was… odd. Thought Lettuce Midorikawa as she walked back from Cafe Mew Mew, which was also her workplace. She had just had the strangest encounter with her friend Ichigo. Lettuce was just cleaning up some plates she had broken when she walked into Ichigo, causing her to drop the already broken plates.

'Hiya!' Ichigo had practically screeched at Lettuce as soon as she realised it was her.

'Hi Ichigo, what's with all the yelling, you act as if you only just met me.' Said Lettuce.

'No, it's just that I have been too busy with Ryou (sorry all IchigoXMassaya fans) that we haven't had a proper girly chat in forever!' she was still screeching.

'Ok, let me just put the remnants of this plate away.' Lettuce carefully discarded of the broken plates 'what do you want to talk about?'

'Hmmmmmmmm… Let me see. Oh I know! Your love life!'

'What love life?' Lettuce mumbled under her breath. Then she said so Ichigo could hear, 'what about it?'

'Well? Do you like anyone, Lettuce?'

'What!? No!' She said turning scarlet.

'Then why are you blushing?'

'I'm not!'

'Yeah you are!'

'No I'm not'

'Whoa, what's with all the yelling going on in here?' Said Ryou Shirogane as he walked into the room.

'Lettuce like someone and she won't tell me who!' whined Ichigo.

'That's her choice.' Said Ryou, 'anywho, I'm locking up in five so you two had better be gone.' He left the room, leaving Lettuce to face Ichigo alone.

'I bet it's one of the aliens!'

'No it's not!' she said blushing harder.

'So you admit that there is someone!'

'What? No!'

'Could be… Kisshu?'

'Ewwww! No!'

'Taruto?'

'As if!'

'Pai!'

'NO!' Lettuce screamed!

'My my, aren't we tetchy all of a sudden. And have you gone even redder?'

With that remark Lettuce ran out of the Café. To tell the truth, Lettuce new she loved Pai, ever since he gave her that small smile before he gave up his life to save Tokyo Mew Mew and the Earth. But we can never be together, he hasn't come back from his planet and I haven't seen him in four years.

That was when she walked straight into something very hard with purple hair.
