Peering into the greenhouse that held no other signs of inhabitance, Emma caught sight of a singed, coffee stained, stepped on piece of paper. Grabbing her attention, she hobbled into the room, as her left leg was seriously injured in a hiking incident the previous day. She had been hiking up a two mile trail on the warmest day of the year, it was eighty-nine degrees outside to be exact-Seattle isn't exactly known to have warm weather, the average around there happens to be fifty degrees-and fell off the side of a cliff. Well, not a cliff where you fall into shark infested waters cliff, but more like a cliff where you fall into a pile of bushes and branches. We can assume it hurt, as she left the incident with a broken leg and a sprained arm as well as her blonde hair covered in dirt and leaves. She was supposed to stay at the hospital for at least three more days, but she had her ways, and she was released in the morning. Emma smiled, picking up the paper as soon as she reached it, she was far too curious to let it sit there for days on end, all lonely and cold.
Dear whomever it concerns,
I assume you would have no idea what I will talk about in this letter, and if you do, I must call you incredibly mad, but all the best people are mad… So I'd take that as a compliment. My name is Alice Kingsleigh, I grew up in a town where people thought I'd gone completely bonkers, but as we all know, that can't be true. I, Alice Kingsleigh come from Wonderland, my Wonderland. I fell down a hole, and this is where I landed. I'm afraid I'm no Dorothy, and have no ruby red slippers to take me back home-and I'm stuck. I love it here, I do, but I believe my duty is back on Earth.
Sincerely,
Alice
