Dragon Rider
Drabble/One-Shot
The Dragon Rider.
A man, clad in black armour, upon a massive, winged beast with claws like knives and teeth sharp as iron spikes.
People often called the Dragon Rider 'Hiccup', for some reason.
They also called the Dragon, 'Toothless'.
It didn't make any valid sense, but apparently those were their names.
Once upon a time, enemies would hear the names and laugh.
Those foolish men grew to fear those two words, while their allies cheered with relief, pride, and the hope of freedom.
As the words 'Hail Hiccup! Hail Toothless!' flew across the battlefield, even the toughest of military commanders would cringe and cower, fearing imminent death at the claws and blade of the dragon and man they oh so feared. Fear would set into the minds of their foes and plague them with sheer terror.
The Dragon Rider, and his partner of heart, mind and soul, were a truly threatening and mighty presence...
And they would be, forever more.
