Nightmares

She awoke with a start, panting. He invaded her dreams, making them a nightmare every night. Cloud was always there to comfort her.
But she couldn't escape him. Not once. His glowing orange eyes were stuck in her head, burned, almost.
Tifa usually wasn't afraid of anything. But he, he was scary.
Her heart pounded and she looked over to Cloud.
"Cloud...?" she asked, but the man that was there was certainly not Cloud.
It was him. His hair, a cascade of silver. His skin, tanned, like he'd been out in the sun for an extremely long time.
And his eyes. A look of- concern? In the orange. She jumped out of the bed.
"Where's Cloud!" she demanded, ready for anything. He smirked.
"He doesn't exist. This is a dream." he said, and walked over to her.
"A..." she didn't get time to finish, as he put a finger to her lips.
And kissed her.
Tifa woke up, and Cloud was certainly there. He looked so peaceful...then she remembered the dream.
If it was a dream...Why did it feel so real?
