A/N: Hey guys, this is my first fanfic ever, but my 3rd story (other 2 are on fictionpress). So to give a background of it, Ryou and Zakuro have been following each others movements through the media and general stalking. This one-shot takes place before ep. 11 (the one where we meet Zakuro). Anyways, enjoy! And I do not own the rights to this beautiful amine and its epic characters =(.
She stood on top of the lampost. Her hair, her manner, her spirit flowed gracefully with the wind. He stared at her, too scared to murmur anything in case he ruined her perfect stupor. Her purple hair brushed past her soft, pale face. They stared into the moon, both engulfing the silence surrounding them. He shifted back. She turned. Their eyes locked and they stared silently at each other. Silence was deafening, yet...full. Elliot felt his heart stop as she blinked in awe at his sleek blonde hair. Her grey tail swung slowly behind her, her ears raised. She gracefully jumped down and landed just in front of him, but this action caught him off guard. He stumbled back, and she fell forward. The two blushed heavily and turned away from each other. He knew who she was, but he wasn't sure if he knew him too. As she stared at him, he suddenly turned her around and knelt over her. They giggled. She raked her fingers through her perfect hair and smiled.
"How long were you standing there for?" She asked softly.
Elliot chuckled and replied calmly, "Long enough. I know you've been watching me. You know that I know about people like you."
Her eyes raised, then immediately relaxed. "If you knew, why didn't you tell the others, if there are others, about me?"
"Because I know you like to work alone. I know that you have a soft spot for kids, and as badly as you don't want to admit it, you care greatly about the people of Tokyo and their wellbeing."
Her eyes stayed wide after he finished speaking, then she smirked, "How long have you been stalking me?"
"Long enough. And it's not like I'm the only one doing it. As a fan, I have the right to stalk you." They chuckled, then she smoothly said,
"Well then, I guess I have the right to stalk you too." She turned away quickly, a strong red growing on her cheeks. Elliot noticed this and softly cupped her cheek, bringing it to face him. They stared at each other deeply, both of their breaths slowing and deepening. Elliot closed his eyes and placed a small kiss on her cheek. Her face froze as he slowly moved his face away. He stood up and put his hand in his pocket. Renee stared at him from the ground, unreactive from his action. He began to walk away, but turned and smirked, "I'll see you at the café tomorrow then." As he walked away, Renee slammed her head against the road and cursed to herself. "Why did I let him go?"
