RS: This horrid work is dedicated to Sillymail, who requested another Sakura and Ino centric story like Drunken Ramblings. Sorry I didn't have time to write you a full fic, I'm just all over the place right now working on school and other stories.
Ill
"Oh stop complaining! It's your own fault for staying outside in that weather. Honestly, billboard-brow, what were you thinking?" It was late morning, just after 10, and Sakura was confined to bed, moaning and groaning about how goddamned miserable she felt. She had it all: the chills, the sniffles, a cough, slight loss of voice, light-headedness, everything. Ino, of course, made it her personal responsibility to show up under the false pretense of banter in order to care for her rival.
"It was a bad day and I was trying to clear my head, so leave me alone porker." The smaller girl beneath the covers huffed, folding her arms and glowering slightly as the blond fawned over her with false vexation.
Ino rolled her eyes and muttered beneath her breath. "You'd think that gigantic forehead would be used for holding a big brain but no- ow!"
"Shut it!" Sakura socked her with a pillow. The taller female glared.
"Oh quit being a baby." She ordered, "Now open your mouth, I've gotta take your temperature." The sick girl frowned but complied nonetheless. Removing the glass stick from her friend's mouth after a few seconds, she read the number with slightly clouded azure eyes.
"103," she sighed shaking her head, "Sick as a dog. I'll just run down to the drugstore and grab some meds. Be back in a flash." Without waiting for a farewell she took off, leaving the green-eyed girl on her own. But it won't be for long.
One week later, a blond girl lay snuggled into her bed.
"Oh quit complaining, porker, I never asked you to take care of me." Sakura got a pillow to the head.
The End
RS: Ack, that was pathetic. 280 words of nothing! I may write another one, but for now that's all I have time for. Sorry!
