"My greatest strength is also my strongest weakness."
Inuyasha took time when no one was around to look himself over. He would reflect on what he had to improve on and go over what his strengths and weaknesses were. He would hate to say he had a weaknesses but he knew he did. He just couldn't figure out what it was, he knew everyone had a weakness.
He smiled; he knew Kagome's weakness was anything that needed physical strength- that wasn't her. Miroku's weakness was his flirtatious ways, Sango's was her family, Shippo's was everything, Kilala's was that she couldn't really talk to anyone and she was limited to her teeth and claws. Even Sesshomaru had a weakness no one knew about. Sesshomaru never liked people but after seeing that girl that always followed him around. Inuyasha knew that girl was his weakness. He could venture to say that his weakness would be his Kagome- if something happened to her, he would probably break down, he wouldn't be able to take it easily. Life would probably cease to exist in his eyes.
But how can something that gives you so much strength be a weakness? When Kagome was around he found himself fighting harder to keep her alive. When he would be at the brink of death he would stand up one more time to fight whatever it was while his friends would be able to get away.
He looked down to the ground to see Kagome reading under the tree that he sat in. She made him feel like he could do anything and yet, he was always afraid to talk to her. He never tried on purpose to mess up their friendship it just happened sometimes.
When she was with him, nothing was impossible, that was when the best came out of him. But then he would continually be afraid of loosing her.
He didn't understand though, he used to reject her; he resented her when he met her and now he came to find out that she was the girl he wanted all along. Sweet, caring and loving him for…well him. She was his everything, his strength when he was too weak and his weakness when he thought he was too strong.
With the words taken from Kaede, she isn't an ordinary girl, which was true you could see it in her eyes, and while he was never an ordinary boy, he never considered someone like her to come into his life. His life was full of ups and downs but she always seemed like an up. As soon as she woke every morning and smiled, he felt better- his life seemed complete.
He was taken out of his trance when a rock came up and behind him and hit his back. He looked to see Kagome had moved from her spot. He then looked behind himself to see Kagome holding another pebble. She smiled that smile that brightened up his day no matter how bad it was.
"Come down Inuyasha. You have been up there for a long time. We don't want you thinking too hard, you might hurt yourself." She smiled as she chucked another rock at him.
Inuyasha caught the rock in his hands as he smiled. Coming from anyone else- he would have taken that as an insult. He looked at the rock in his hand as he played with it.
He finally decided Kagome was not only his greatest strength but also his strongest weakness. He decided he could live with that as he jumped from the tree to join her and the rest of their messed up group that somehow he couldn't live a day without.
This is just a short oneshot! I got some of Inuyasha's thoughts from a song I heard called, "Every little thing" by Hawk Nelson! I love Hawk Nelson- such awesome songs! Go onto youtube and look them up!
Please review and let me know what you think! I don't think I have anyone out of character but let me know if you think I did. =) Love you guys!
