A/N: I decided to make a one-shoot Cartson fanfiction, just to get it out of my system.

Peggy sat in the office; she was alone with Jack sitting in his office. She had a lot of paperwork to catch up to after another mission in Germany. Her and Jack had gotten a bit closer after he opened up to her the first time they went to Russia. It was up to Christmas day and it had started snowing outside, the rest of the men had already left to be with their relatives, wives and so forth.

Suddenly the lights started to flicked and they both looked up at the ceiling wondering what was going on. Peggy stood up and looked at Jack with wonder in her eyes, and he did the same to her. He walked out, and they both headed towards the window and suddenly the whole power went.

"Well this is just jolly delightful" she said as she saw how the snow suddenly started to fall heavier, she then turned to look at Jack "Aren't you supposed to be heading home too Chief?" she asked with a curious tone.

Jack shock his head in the dark "No I'm not leaving until tomorrow, Gram Gram knows the hours of this job, so she understands" he said and sighed. "Well it looks like we are stuck here for a while either way" he said calmly and as they both turned away from the window they bumped into each other.

Peggy tripped and Jack barely catches her loosing balance himself, falling flat on the floor. Jack looked down and felt Peggy's weight on his chest, "Well Carter you're not exactly light weighed," he said feeling a smack on his head, which was Peggy's hand meeting his head.

"Well aren't you absolutely hilarious" she exclaimed and got up on her feet. "I'll go and find us some candles" She said and fumbled her way through the darkness, until she reached her desk and found her flashlight.

A few moments later, the office was lit up with candles, and Jack stood in the doorway to his office.

"A drink?" he asked holding two glass and a bottle of bourbon

"Well why not" Peggy gently smiled and walked towards Jack's office sitting in his couch.

They talked for a while and laughed, it was at this moment that Jack realized how thankful he was for her company. Instead of throwing a tantrum at him for what he had done back in his war days, she accepted him and understood him. She kept telling him now and then what a good man he was, and that he should trust himself more often.

Without realizing it, they had moved closer to each other and their faces were just inches apart, Peggy could not tell if it was the bourbon or her heart trying to give her a hint. She admitted that lately she had seen him in a different light, and that her heart would jump a bit by seeing his handsome face looking her way. They did not move one inch closer to each other, giving one another time to back away, time to regret and pull back. However, none of them did and Peggy suddenly grabbed Jack's tie, moved him closer, and kissed him, Jack a bit surprised by her sudden move, responded to her kiss, deepening the kiss, pulling her closer to him.

For a moment, they were not agents but just Peggy and Jack, just enjoying the company of each other, and for a moment, they allowed themselves to be in love.
