A/N: Yay! This is a nalu(obviously) oneshot and is my first so tell me how it goes! Hope you like it! By the way, I do know it's 3 days after valentine's day, and I'm late. Also I know it is pretty long, so I'm sorry. :(

Summary:

It's valentine's day and Natsu is going through the belongings in his house when he notices a small box. Inside the box is a small little book. He opens the book and out falls one page. On that page was very neat writing. To the corner of the page he read,"Dear Diary-February 14". It was written 7 years ago. He sat down on his couch and began to read.

Natsu got up, took a bath and quickly changed.

He walked downstairs and noticed nobody was up yet.

That's odd. When have I ever been the first one up?

Maybe it was because he was excited. Off course he was. Today was valentine's day.

Natsu wasn't the lovey-dovey kind of guy, but even he knew today was a special day.

He walked around aimlessly until he decided to go downstairs to see if there was anything to do.

Seeing an old cupboard he obviously opened it.

He wiped dust off and saw this small pink box.

Inside, he found a small purple book.

A page fell out an on to his lap.

He picked it up and saw the corner of it.

"Dear Diary-February 14.".

The year said it was 10 years ago.

He recognized the handwriting immediately.

Lucy's.

Curious, he brought it up and plopped down into a soft red chair.

He began to read.

Lucy:

I walked to the kitchen and made myself breakfast.

I forget what it was due to the events that happened later in the day.

Once I was done, I saw the date. February 14, valentine's day.

I had a boyfriend, and until later that day, I thought he was a good one. I guess love does blind all. Or maybe it was because he was my first one.

A text message notification popped up on my phone and curious, I picked it up.

"I need to talk to you. Meet me at the Cafe near that guild that you're apart of. Come at 7".

I was naive. I thought he wanted to see me due to it being valentine's day.

I was so wrong.

Either way, I picked out a black dress with pretty flowers on it to wear. I wore a black leather jacket and combed my hair.

Then I went to the guild as I always do. I laughed with them as I always did. I got hit by things which were the result of Natsu and Gray's stupid fights.

They hit Erza to, which was a bad move. She totally destroyed them.

Soon, Mira gave out lunches and I sat down at the table with Wendy, Erza, Mira, and Gray.

I think Natsu was attacking Gajeel or something.

Wait...that couldn't be possible because Gajeel was out with Levy the whole day.

They were such a cute couple.

No...I think Natsu was bugging Lauxus to fight, who at the time was composing a poem for Mira.

It was so unnatural of him.

Also...I heard the poem later and it was terrible. Mira seemed to like it though. Weird.

Anyway, Wendy asked me a question. "Why are you all dressed up?".

I told her that I had a date today and her eyes widened. "No...Way...Nat-", Erza stopped her before she finished.

She looked at me warily. "Are you sure? Are you sure that he's the right one? I mean...today's a very special day...".

What was wrong with everyone today? I nodded my head cautiously, really confused.

"I really hope that idiot doesn't get too upset.", Gray muttered.

Erza gave him a death glare.

"What?", if I was confused before, I was really very confused now.

Carla spoke for all of them. "What these idiots are trying to say is that you should have a nice time and go.", she said.

She said it so forcibly that it was obvious that's not what she meant. And the others *cough*Erza*cough* nodded so vigorously that it was obvious that they were lying.

I was really confused, but in a minute Natsu barged in and punched Gray.

Why? Heck, I don't know.

There were 20 minutes before seven when I left the guild and walked back home. I redid my hair which had already been messed up and flattened my dress which had ruffled up.

Then I walked to the cafe. There were 3 minutes before seven. I sat in my seat and waited. And waited.

It seemed as if I had waited forever!

I looked around and saw couples all around me, laughing, smiling and hugging.

There were some murmurs when someone looked in my direction.

I checked my phone. It was 7:30. It was obvious I was stood up.

At 7:50, I was about to go when he walked in and sat down. He pulled over a chair and motioned to a girl who had followed him in to sit down. And then he held her hand.

"Look Lucy...this was really your own fault. You know I don't like the fact you're in that guild, but you wouldn't quit. You're always on some job or something. Your 'friends' are some weird crazy people. That stupid guild is always getting into trouble. Every time I brought it up, you said something about family or what not. It's just so stupid. I can't deal with that. I'm sorry, well...not really.".

I looked at him. My eyes locked with his. I stood up and put the back of my hand in his face so he could clearly see the Fairy Tail mark. "I am a member of Fairy Tail. They are my family. Whatever happens we are there for each other. People like you don't deserve something like that. People like you don't understand. People like you...", I smiled coldly, "Are alone in life.".

I turned my back on him so he wouldn't see the tears in my eyes. I walked out the door and went wherever my feet took me.

I found myself sitting on a bench in the Magnolia park...crying.

Again...all around me, couples were laughing, smiling, hugging, kissing, having fun...together.

But me, I was crying...all alone.

I checked my phone once again. It was 10:00. I had been sitting here for 3 hours, but I couldn't bring myself to move.

"Come on. Let's go home.", A voice said.

He sat down and instantly I felt warm heat emanating from him.

I couldn't speak, I could barely move. All I did was lean closer to him.

He effortlessly, but gently picked me up and started to walk.

I buried my face into his chest and absorbed some of his heat.

He brought me to my house and carefully put me down on a chair. He went to my bathroom and drew up a bath. He led me there and closed the door.

"Take your time, Lucy. I'll be waiting.", he said and gave me his usual grin.

I sunk into the water and closed my eyes.

When I got out, I realized he had taken the time to lay out my regular sleepwear.

I put it on and opened the door and walked to my bedroom where I saw him sitting on my bed.

He motioned me to join him and I obliged.

"Thank you...Natsu.".

"It wan't hard or anything. Happy and I just came here as usual, and waited, but you never showed up. Happy had to go give Carla something so I got bored and decided to go look for you. I followed your scent and saw you at the park. And then here we are now. Do you want to tell me what's going on?", he asked, knitting his eyebrows.

I rested my head on his shoulder as I told him my story.

He tensed when I mentioned my...well now ex...boyfriend.

"Good for you. He obviously wasn't worth it. He was so stupid, I mean how could he not love you for being apart of Fairy Tail? I mean, you deserve a trophy for being around Gray all the time!", he said seriously.

I laughed.

"What's so funny!", he asked.

I shook my head. "He's not that bad!".

"Are you crazy! He's terrible! After you left, he challenged me to an underwater breathing contest and I totally won!", he said.

"So...you mean he won..right?", I asked him teasingly.

"How did you know?".

"You are probably the second worst liar after Erza.

"Erza can actually lie pretty good when she wants to. Remember that one time when she tricked the entire guild that there was a delivery guy coming from the side entrance, with one pizza and we all ran outside to get it first, except her? And it turned out, he was actually coming from the front entrance and she lied so she could get the pizza herself!", he grumbled.

"Yeah, I remember that!".

"Anyway back to my story, Gray beat me by one minute! He stayed underwater for 2 minutes! Is that even possible!", he asked outraged.

"Juvia was probably helping him. It is her element after all. Actually, I'm sure she was helping him.", I reasoned.

"That traitor!", he said.

"Technically, she was never on your side to begin with so...".

"Ugh! Whatever...Back to my topic on how terrible Gray is...".

I don't remember what he said, or when we fell asleep. All I know is that for the life of me, I want to spend every valentine's day with him.

Natsu-

I finished the letter with a smile on my face.

Our friends were acting odd because I had told them I was going to ask Lucy to be my valentine.

I didn't get to, of course, but I totally did it next year.

I remembered the feeling I had when I was talking about that scum bag, Gray, when she fell asleep in my arms.

I was the warm one, but she was the one who gave me warmth.

She was the one who fueled my heart.

She was Lucy.

"Morning!", said a voice in between yawns.

"What are you reading", she asked.

I looked down at the paper in my hands.

I decided not to tell her.

"Nothing. Just...stuff.".

She raised her eyebrows. "Right...stuff...".

She started pouring us some coffee and in a seperate bowl some milk and cereal.

"Hey...Luce...can we go out today?", I asked her.

"I wish Natsu, but the kids.".

"Can't somebody watch them!", I asked.

"Like who!", she asked back.

"Ice prick! He doesn't have anything to do.".

"Juvia.", she replied.

"Okay then what about Erza!".

"Jellal.".

"Wendy?".

"Romeo.".

"Gajeel?".

"Levy.".

"Mira.".

"Lauxus.".

"Elfman.".

"Evergreen.".

"Bisca!".

"Seriously! Do you even have to ask!".

"Mavis!".

"If she was alive...then Zeref.".

"Lisanna!".

She was about to reply when she faltered.

"Well...I think there's an unofficial thing going on between Lisanna and Bickslow, but it's not official so...".

She didn't have to finish.

Natsu had special plans waiting for her.

This was going to be a special valentine's day.
