Chapter One
Willow's Point of View
( Why. Why. Why. Why, why, why, why… ) That was all that was able to make its way through Willow's head as she stood in the Magic Box, so close to ending it all. But how could she end it now? She could have just transported to where the geeks were. But no, she had to make a show of it all. After all, this was her time right? After her life had revolved around Buffy for so long it was now her turn.
See, everyone's lives revolved around Buffy because that's how Buffy wanted it. She made sure that people knew she was in pain. But was she really? When she died did she really go to heaven? Does she even *know* where she went? Who knows. She wont tell us, obviously it isn't as bad as it seams. You can tell when she's in *real* pain or not. Willow had noticed that when she was in *real* pain- whether it be physical or mental- she would hide herself up. Wouldn't talk to anyone. But she did know. The first time she saw her after Ta-- after she left the house, she tried to fix her hair. Willow saw it. OF course Xander didn't see it because he was to bust being worried.
Xander. Poor, poor Xander. So lost and innocent. He has no idea what potential he really has. You know why? Because Buffy took it away form him. She stole his spotlight- she stole everyone's spotlight. That was if they ever had one. She didn't' regret helping the slayer out of risking her life. People risk their lives everyday, Willow was just lucky enough to be able to do it for the greater good. At that thought she couldn't help but snort. ( The greater good, look where that has gotten me… )
"Look Willow, I understand the pain you're going through…" Buffy said in the background. ( How many times is she going to say that? She doesn't know the pain I'm going through or she would be doing what I am. )
It wasn't as though Willow didn't know what she was doing. She knew what boundaries she was stepping over and who she was hurting. It was just all she could do to get away from the pain. Tara alone couldn't drive her this insane form dying. It was the majority of all the people that had died and left in the past added to this. She just snapped. Who wouldn't? Xander snapped with Anya because of his own feelings. But Xander ran away, that was what he did when he snapped, run away. Unfortunately for some people, that wasn't how Willow dealed with things like this. At least not this time.
But she had bigger problem to deal with at the moment. Giles…
"Buffy," seeing the spark of relief in her friends eyes she smiled, "Shut up." Looking back at Giles she couldn't help but notice his firm chest through the dark shirt he was wearing. And how his hair was shorter and he wasn't wearing his glasses ( Whoa, can you say babe? ). "Giles, when did you get in town? Been a long time. No phone calls or letters." Putting on a pout that even her vampire self would have bided by, she began to walk around the room, slowly making her way toward him. As she got nearer she let the smile that threatened to escape win.
By now she stood right in front of him. Grabbing the back of his head she pulled his mouth down to hers for a brief but intense kiss before vanishing out the doors to find Jonathan and Andrew. Giles stayed absolutely still for a moment before bringing his fingers to his lips and smiling.
"Well, she sure has grown up since the last I saw, hmm?"
