Lucifer sat at the bar in Lux, sipping his beverage. He paid no attention to anything around him and failed to notice a certain detective walk in.

"Lucifer." Chloe said, standing behind him.

There was no response. Lucifer continued to stay hunched over the bar, staring off into space.

"Lucifer!" Chloe said, louder, causing the Devil to jump.

"Detective," Lucifer replied, not even glancing her way.

"Where have you been? I've been calling you all day!" Chloe placed her hands on her hips.

"My brother died..." Lucifer said quietly, barely a whisper.

"Oh, Lucifer, I had no idea. I'm so sorry." Chloe put a comforting hand on his shoulder, but he shook it off.

"I don't need your pity. I deserve to be punished." Lucifer spat.

"Lucifer, what are you talking about? Why would you need to be punished?"

"You wouldn't understand... you never do."

"I'm trying to understand, but when you lie to me about everything and make up stories about being the Devil, it's hard." Chloe said, annoyed.

"I have never lied to you. That's what you don't understand." He stood and walked to the elevator, never looking the detective in the eye.

Lucifer was drowning in guilt; he wished someone would kill him so he could escape this nightmare. Lucifer shut the elevator doors on Chloe and locked them once he got to his penthouse, ensuring that he wasn't bothered.

Chloe, confused and unsure, walked out of Lux. She got in her car and drove to someplace she could think.

Meanwhile, Lucifer tore his whole place apart, then curled up in the corner and cried. Lucifer loved Uriel. He was his little brother after all. He never thought that he would be the one to kill him; he never thought that he would die, actually.

Through many big sobs, Lucifer crawled out onto the balcony and leaned against the wall, continuing to cry. The Devil looked over the city and was sure that, if he wasn't immortal, he would jump. But, then again, he was becoming less and less immortal every moment he spent on earth, right?

Lucifer stood on the small wall dividing him from the street below. He fell forward, slowly, and felt as if he was flying again. As he got closer to the ground, he laughed. Lucifer was being punished for what he did, and he was thrilled. This was justice for Uriel.
