Toph gulped, her usually stoic personality crumbling for a moment. Aang's steel grey eyes bore into hers, and he pulled her closer, the cool Tacoma wind blowing around them.

Of all the people she would have thought to get stuck in a windstorm with, Aang was definitely at the bottom of the list. She stared at him, noticing the slight crinkle in his eyebrows as he began to smile at her. She shivered slightly, not used to feeling his body so close to hers.

"What?" He asked, an impish smirk resting on his face. She cursed inwardly, knowing that she was blushing.

"Nothing." Toph replied as she closed her eyes, resting her head onto his chest. They stood there for a moment, before Aang wrapped an arm around her, pulling her inside the empty library with him.

"Thanks." Toph mumbled, pulling away from his warmth. She stared at the ground, embarrassment washing over her face.

"No problem." He replied cheekily, sitting down onto one of the benches.

Toph rolled her eyes, slipping her phone out of her shorts pocket, sighing to herself as she connected to the WiFi. She began to roam around.

Toph looked over her shoulder at Aang who smiled as he watched a paper plane fly through the library courtyard, the expression making him look even more youthful.

Toph smiled at his expression, before she tucked a oddly long strand of hair behind her ear, sending her roommate Katara a quick text.

Melon Lord: might be late.

Melon Lord: Locked in at the library because of the windstorm.

Sugar Queen: yikes. I'm at Zuko's rn. Message me when you get out.

Melon Lord: Zuko's? Damn Kat, looks like you have game.

Sugar Queen: really Toph? We're just studying.

Melon Lord: yeah, the studies of sex and orgasms.

Sugar Queen: no! Geez Toph, could you be anymore crude?

Toph smirked, sending Katara a stream of emojis before closing her phone. She walked over towards Aang, who was still sitting near the window, seemingly entranced by the way the wind picked up papers and even garden gnomes.

"Hey twinkletoes. Whatcha watching?" Toph's voice rang in the room for a moment as Aang turned to look at her, a small smile forming on his lips.

"Nothing, you?"

Toph rolled her eyes before sitting down next to the boy. Aang ran a hand through his close cropped hair, pulling his phone out and beginning to scroll. Toph watched as he clicked through his phone, before settling on a specific app, Tumblr.

Toph held back a snort, responding with an amused smirk. "Really Aang? Tumblr?"

Aang's steel grey eyes looked at her, as he shrugged, his smile never once dropping.

He responded quietly. "I like the format. Plus lots of people ship Toni and Adam like I do."

Toph snorted, ignoring Aang's blush. Of course Aang would like Tumblr, it was the perfect place for him to rant about his favourite TV show couple, Toni and Adam, from the show AT:LA. He was obsessed with the two, even having written fanfiction about them. Toph found it kinda adorable.

"Uh huh? Why am I not surprised?" Toph asked, a Aang's blush deepened. Toph smiled to herself as she looked over his shoulder.

The fanart he was looking at, seemed pretty cute, it was Halloween based, and had Toni and Adam dressed up like paladins, like the characters from Voltron.

Toph looked at it, with a gentle smile on her face. Aang's voice brought her out of her thoughts.

"Y'know," he began with a slight smirk on his lips, " If we were a fictional couple, I bet people would draw fanart about us."

Toph looked at him, surprise resting on her face. She blushed slightly before responding. "Really?"

Aang nodded, a satisfied smirk on his face. He continued, wrapping an arm around Toph's shoulder.

"Our shipname would be Aph. No, it'd be Taang. " Aang's nose scrunched up, as he thought about the topic seriously.

"Yeah," he mumbled making Toph blush deeply, "It'd be Taang."

Toph looked up at Aang, before nodding her head and standing up. Aang looked at her, a concerned look on her face.

"I-I'm gonna see if the storm has let up. I'll, I'll see you later." Toph's voice quivered slightly as her eyes refused to meet Aang's.

Aang nodded, gently grasping the shorter girl's hand and squeezing it. Toph smiled softly, before squeezing his hand back, before walking away.

The library doors opened, and Toph resisted the urge to look over her shoulder at Aang. Pulling her phone out and dialing Katara's number, she breathed in the cold air with a shaky breath. It went to voicemail, and Toph groaned inwardly.

"Hey Kat," she began running a hand over her face, "the storm has let up on my side of town, so as soon as you get this message, uh I guess you can come pick me up."

Turning on her heel, Toph brushed her shorts off, before mumbling under her breath as she walked back into the library.
