Shane Helms walked to the front door of his best friend Violet's home. He paused before grabbing the door handle. Should I do this? He thought to himself. After pondering for a few seconds he finally got up enough courage to knock on the door. Violet opened it, wearing a sparkle top and jean skirt. She looked so beautiful in Shane's eyes.

I think i've walked too close to love
And now i'm falling in
Theres so many things this weary soul can't take
Maybe you just caught me by surprise
The first time that i looked into your eyes

"Hey." He paused rubbing the back of his neck. "How are you Shane?" Violet moved over so he could enter. He sat on the couch and stared at Violet. "I'm okay how have you been?"

There's a life inside of me
That i can feel again
It's the only thing that takes me
Where i've never been

"I've been okay but I missed you so much." She sat down beside him, and he put an arm around her. "I missed you too Vio." She wrapped her arms around him in a gentle embrace.

I don't care if i lost everything that i have known
It don't matter where i lay my head tonight
Your arms feel like home
Feel like home

Violet rested her head against his chest, listening to his heart beat. Every beat was making her heart melt. I have to tell him. She kept telling herself. Shane stroked Violet's hair, he needed to tell her how he felt. It was only a matter of time before some one else got to her and it would be too late. He gazed deeply into her eyes. "Violet I have to tell you something." "Shane I have to tell you something too."

This life aint the fairy tale we both thought it would be
But i can see your smiling face as it's staring back at me
I know we both see these changes now
I know we both understand somehow

"W-well what do you have to say?" He took a hold of her wrist. "Violet this is hard but I'm going to come out with it." "Okay." She moved closer to him. "Violet, I......I really like you." He looked into her eyes. "You know that kiss we shared, well I liked that kiss. I want there to be something more between us. I love you Violet." She looked away, Wow he really does feel that way about me! Her thoughts screamed into her head. "Shane, I love you too." She took his hand in hers and a smile spread across his face.

"R-really?" "Yes Shane I do." They moved close to each other, eyes locked. Shane pulled Violet closer to her, their lips connected in a soft and gentle kiss. Shane's heart beat increased and mixed together with all his other emotions which made one thing. Love. After all this time of waiting he was finally able to come out with it. Violet was his and that made his life complete.
