You Just Keep Coming Back
Hey all! This is my first oneshot. It is really short, but I didn't want to make it into a drabble or anything like that!. I have question. When you update a chapter on FFN, how do you do it? I have the story of Reverse the Promise, Reverse the Tears ch. 2 typed up but I have no clue.
Please help me, friends out there!
This story is dedicated to my first friend, Sachiko, 9'-'sachiko-chan'-'9, Thanks. When you replied to my review, it made my day. Hope this could cheer you up!
And also, this is a present to Natsume. Happy Birthday! And all you people who have the same birthday as him!
Disclaimer: Nope, ask my friends, all of them will say no.
So no
You Just Keep Coming Back
Natsume stared at the orange-shaped bouncy ball in disgust. Mikan had given it to him on his birthday. She thought it could be used to roll around while reading the manga or to use it whenever he was bored. He thought he could use it to knock the brunette unconscious. He knew that he was happy because she even cared to give him a present.
"Natsume." Hearing Ruka's voice made him relax a bit. His crimson eyes flicked disbelievingly at his best friend. In a clam tone, he acknowledged his best friend. "Ruka." The fire wielder grimaced darkly. "Why would she give me this? It's beyond me how stupid she is. She really is an idiot."
He threw it on the wall. It bounced back. He did the same and the result was the same. The ball just came back. Again and again. No matter how hard he threw it away. Ruka seated himself comfortably next to him and smiled serenely. "I think it's a great present."
"Hn, only you."
"You should be glad she gave you a present," reasoned Ruka. His eyes gleamed.
"Tch."
"I think…" Ruka paused and tried to form his words carefully. "that the present was a message for you.."
"Not like her to be so deep," Natsume replied mockingly. Ruka sighed.
"Natsume…Sakura gave you this because…well, she always comes back doesn't she? No matter how hard you throw her off. She always comes back," he explained lightly.
Suddenly, Natsume understood and he liked the present. It was a reminder that she would always be there, always be with him, like the ball which always bounced back. She would always surprise him, always make him happy. He could do anything, but like the ball.
She just kept coming back.
