It was lunch time and a young blond was slowly making his way to the lunch room so he could meet up with a couple of friends. He sighed quietly and ran his hand through his long blond hair and kept his eyes on the ground. He avoided eye contact with anyone he passed, mostly because if he even thought of looking at them, the odds are they'd try to beat him up. Why? Well, simply because he was openly gay and that was very rare for the school he was in. It was also frowned upon. His own parents had abandoned him when he first showed signs of liking other guys. He was eight years old when he was left behind, and memories of that so he quickly shook his head to get the memories out of his head.
The blond suddenly bumped into someone and stepped back slightly. He took in a shaky breath and gripped the sleeve of his oversized black hoodie. Slowly, he raised his head and instantly regretted it. He had run into a tall male with bluish skin, blue hair, shark like teeth, and scary looking eyes. His name was Kisame Hoshigaki. He was one of the few who often bullied the young blond.
"I...I'm sorry, un…" The blond said softly. He had really hoped to avoid trouble today, especially because he had to work after school and he didn't want to have to explain any bruises to his boss.
"Watch where you're going you little bitch!" Kisame shouted out before giving the blond a harsh shove. He ended up knocking the smaller teen to the ground before he turned and walked away.
Once the blue haired male was gone, the blond let out a sigh and pushed himself back up to his feet. It was like this almost every single day. He had soon shaken off the incident with Kisame and continued to make his way to the lunch room. Along the way, he was suddenly hugged from behind by someone who felt slightly smaller than himself. Glancing over his shoulder, he could only smile when he saw one of his closest friends. He had short raven hair and dark colored eyes. His name was Levi Ackerman. The blond knew his friend must have seen the incident from a few minutes ago.
"I...I'm guessing you saw what happened, un?" The blond asked softly and the raven only nodded.
"Yeah, of course I did. That bastard has some nerve shoving you down like that." Levi replied with a bit of a huff. Yes, his friend was also gay and was often pushed around as well.
"Don't worry about it. It's nothing I'm not used too… I've been through worse anyways, un." The teen pulled away from his friend and looked at the ground once again.
"Come on Deidara. Don't let him get you down. I know it isn't easy but you're not great person and you've got a boyfriend who adores you more than anything. Maybe you should tell him about what's going on at school. I'm sure he'll do something about it." Levi suggested while started to walk beside his friend.
"Nah. I don't want to make him worry… He already worries enough when I come home with random bruises. I don't know how much longer he'll believe me when I tell him I either ran into a door or fell down the stairs, un." Deidara didn't want to trouble his current boyfriend with any problems going on in his school, mostly because his boyfriend was actually a freshman in college and he already had enough on his plate.
"Deidara. I mean it. Talk to Madara and stop making him worry so much about you. You work with him tonight, don't you? Try talking to him then, or even after work since I know you've been staying with him." Levi gently nudged his friend as they entered the lunch room.
Deidara didn't respond to Levi's comment. He just hurried off to get their usual table in the corner while his friend went to get his food. The blond teen normally didn't eat during the school day since he got a free meal at his job. When he arrived at the usual spot, he saw that a couple of their other friends were already sitting there. One was very tall, with spiky orange hair, purple eyes and piercings all over his face. He was known as Pein. Beside the orange haired male was a short red head with chocolate brown eyes and he was wearing a jacket that was obviously too big for him, meaning it belonged to Pein. The red head's name was Sasori. He and Pein were one of the only gay couples in the school, but no one really messed with them because Pein had actually beaten up several people for making comments. Deidara wished he could be that lucky.
"Hey you two…" The blond said as he sat down with his friends. They both gave Deidara a gentle smile and Sasori leaned over to give the blond a tight hug.
"Hey, are you alright, Dei? Did something happen on the way here?" Sasri asked with a raised eyebrow.
"You could say that… I accidentally bumped into Kisame and he knocked me to the ground…" Deidara replied as he nervously rubbed his arm.
"Do you want Pein to teach him a lesson? I know he will if you just ask him too, isn't that right babe?" Sasori asked as he looked toward his boyfriend.
"Of course. Deidara if anyone is giving you trouble you just have to tell us. We know Madara isn't here so he can't keep you safe from them so I can do it in his place. Just tell me if things get out of hand." Pein said as he lifted up his bottle of water to take a drink of it.
"Thanks you two, but I think I'll be fine, un. Please don't worry too much." Deidara replied. The two didn't look like they believed the blond, but they let it go. Levi soon came over and joined them all and eventually, they were joined by a few other people. One was a grey haired male who wore a mask over the lower half of his face and always looked a bit annoyed, another was a different grey haired male who wore his hair slicked back and always went on and on about this religion called Jashinism or something like that. There was also a male with tan skin, dark green eyes, and long raven hair. He was always obsessed with money and was pretty cheap when it came well everything.
As everyone in their group talked, Deidara let his eyes wander throughout the lunch room. He saw the cheerleaders and jocks sitting together as usual, the nerds and their DnD board, as well as several other groups of people. However, there was one person who always caught Deidara's eye. He had a couple encounters with this person before, and of course they were never good ones. His gaze fell on a tall boy with short raven hair, dark colored eyes, and scars along the right side of his face. This was a person who Deidara would never be able to see eye to eye with. His name was Obito Uchiha.
