A "ten facts" fic about characters who, in my world, come into the lives of the Potters and Weasleys in the aftermath of the War. - - - [note, 1 Dec 2015: I'm updating this fic! With a few changes, some expanding, and new chapters of characters that I've finally fleshed out in my mind. Check it out!]

1. Theodore Remus Lupin

Theodore "Teddy" Remus Lupin

Born: April 4th, 1998

Parents: Remus and Nymphadora (Tonks) Lupin

Appearance: 6'0" and slim, with naturally light brown hair and brown eyes.

House: Gryffindor

Patronus: brown bear

1) Teddy is a metamorphmagus, like his mother was. He grows into wearing his hair honey-bronze and his eyes twinkly brown for public conformity, but most often he'll turn it his hair sky-blue and his eyes deep violet, the preferred colors of his youth, because they're Victoire's favorite.

2) He and Vic have always been the oldest, the tag-teamed duo "in charge" of the cousins, and no one but himself is surprised to find that he's fallen for her. However, being his parents' son, he's rather slow on the uptake and hesitant about making a move… he finally lets things develop naturally once he leaves Hogwarts, and they start to date (not so subtly "in secret") during the summer before her 7th year. The infamous Platform kiss let the cat out of the bag, and the entire family is overjoyed. Teddy proposes the summer after Vic graduates and the two are married a year later.

3) Teddy's first memory is of himself as a baby sitting in his godfather Harry's lap, sitting in front of a warm winter's fire and looking at a photo book. Harry had collected pictures of Remus and Tonks for Teddy and had Ginny help him make a scrapbook, much like Harry's own of his parents. Those pictures, and that memory, are incredibly dear to Teddy.

4) Teddy is both passionate and compassionate, having grown up as an orphan judged for both his parents' successes and flaws. His courage to stand up for himself among that judgment as well as for others, even as a child, got him sorted into Gryffindor.

5) Teddy was a prefect, and was the clear choice for Head Boy as well. His least favorite part of being Head Boy was not the late-night rounds or the more tedious work, but his partner as Head Girl, who seemed to think her position made her entitled to things, including his love life. His friends and family had a great laugh at his constant battle to undo her attempts at partnering herself with him for rounds, projects, or anything. Otherwise, Teddy had a great time and did a great job with his Hogwarts responsibilities.

6) He was the one who taught Vic to fly and play Quidditch, though he himself was only alright at the sport.

7) The only few things he has left of his parents' is their wedding bands, his dad's briefcase, and a letter from his mom. The rest was auctioned off for charity or donated after the war.

8) He adores his Gran and the Potters and Weasleys, who've adopted him as one of their own, but misses his parents sometimes as well. He's been told he's friendly and outgoing like his mother but calculated and thoughtful like his father, yet in the quietest of moments he still wishes he knew them for real.

9) Nobody minds or remarks on it, but the family all knows that Teddy's favorite Weasley uncle is Bill. Not only was Bill a school companion of his mother's and a good friend of his father's as well, but Bill was an actual parent before the rest of the Weasleys. Teddy has always thought of him as a father-figure, rather than the rest of his crazy uncles Weasley.

10) Teddy works as an auror, and a brilliant one at that.

note: Yes, I know Teddy's first name is really Edward, but when I first read the books I saw him as a Theodore and it just stuck.
