Disclaimer: Because I feel like Scarlett Johansson got a raw deal throughout this entire series, I decided to fix one tiny detail of Avengers: Endgame. Other than that, I loved this movie, and I contributed to the $1.2 billion opening weekend. So please, Disney, don't come for me.

RETURNING THE SOUL STONE

Bruce counted to five, then flipped the switch to bring Cap home.

Nothing.

"Where is he?" Bucky asked, staring hard at the platform.

Bruce fought a rising sense of panic as he fiddled with the controls.

Suddenly, someone in a gray time suit materialized onto the platform. Bruce watched a braid of red hair whip around to face him, barely daring to hope that it could be ...

"Nat!"

He rushed at her, and she opened her arms.

"How?" he choked out, still feeling like this was a dream.

She lifted her head from his chest. "Steve traded the stone for me. He convinced Red Skull that 'a soul for a soul' wouldn't apply if the stone hadn't been returned yet."

Bruce beamed at her. She turned, and he followed her gaze to what Sam and Bucky had just seen—a man on a bench, looking an awful lot like Captain America.
