Ren (Version 2)
Erza Dragneel was practically tearing Fairytale apart in an effort to find her and Natsu's son Ren Dragneel. He was nowhere to be found and that made Erza feel a little bit a anxious and more worrisome; "where could he be?" Erza's husband Natsu Dragneel was no help because he was out on a S -Class job and they took sometime; Erza knew that because she had been on a few S- Class jobs had asked everyone in Fairytale had they seen Ren and they all said no. Meanwhile in the forest on Magnolia a little four year old boy with red hair cried softly saying something to the effect of that he wouldn't be better than his father Natsu Dragneel. Someone who he looked up to greatly and the little boy was none other than Ren Dragneel.
"I 'll never be as good as dad he's like the best dragonslayer there was" Ren thought to herself sadly. Suddenly a roar could be heard scaring Ren as he nervously said "as he said who's there!?" Meanwhile Erza Dragneel was walking through the forest shouting her son Ren's name. When suddenly a scream was heard causing Erza's eyes to go wide; as she realized as the voice belong to her son Ren. "Ren I am coming sweetie hold on!" Erza shouted running to the source of her son's voice.
Erza Dragneel ran as fast as she could to her son's voice she just hoped she wasn't too late. Erza arrived in the clearing just in time to see her son Ren getting tossed around like a rag doll. The beast had his teeth sunk into Ren's arm making him cry out in utter agony and pain. Erza simply couldn't take it anymore she couldn't stand to see; her son in utter pain that beast had to be stopped and she was the person to do it the only person. Erza then quickly used her requip magic to battle the monster that had her son. The monster bear beast was one tough opponent; and during the battle Erza yelled at her son to run Ren just weakly nodded his head and ran as fast as he could away from the battle.
But Ren was so busy looking behind him that he didn't see some rocks that caused him to twist and sprain his ankle. This caused Ren again to scream out in pain again Erza heard her son cry out; but unfortunately for her so did the monstrous beast who started to go in the direction of the scream. "Not on my watch!" Erza said to herself as she followed the beast deeper into the forest. With his one good arm Ren tried to get up with no success; but then he heard the beast's loud roar looking in the direction of the roar Ren began to drag himself hopefully out of harm's way. But sadly that wasn't the case the bear beast was on top of Ren before he could even blink; Ren was scared out of his mind as he dragged himself closer and closer
to what he didn't realize was the cliffs edge. Then without even realizing it Ren went over the cliff screaming mommy the whole way down.
Erza finally caught up with the beast and used whatever requip magic she had left to defeat the beast. Then Erza began to look around for her son Ren but couldn't find him; Erza then began to hysterically call out for her son but received no answer. Feeling some tears threaten to fall Erza looked over the cliff and saw what she thought was the lifeless body of her son Ren. "REN!" Erza screamed it took her a few minutes to find away to reach the beach. When she reached the beach Erza desperately tried to wake her son up to no avail. So Erza carried her son back to Fairytale hoping that Wendy might be able to save him; nobody in the guild said anything as they watched Erza carry her supposedly dead son. But luckily for Erza Wendy was able to save her son so while Wendy worked on Ren. Erza went outside to cry and said "Ren probably now thinks I wasn't a good mom!" but what Erza didn't know was that Lucy was behind her who said "you know that's not true Erza and you know it!" At the sound of Lucy's voice Erza jumped and as she faced Lucy she said "Of course it's true look at what happened to Ren. Of course I wasn't a good mom Lucy. I couldn't even save my own son from the bear beast monster or whatever it was." Putting a comforting hand on Erza's shoulder Lucy said as gently as she could to ease Erza's worries; as she said "you did save Ren from the bear beast didn't you?" "Yes" Erza said with saddened eyes; "so there is nothing to worry about Erza Ren will be fine you'll see" Lucy said then she left Erza all alone once again. Erza waited I don't know how long until Wendy came out and informed Erza that Ren had slipped into a coma; but other wise he was fine and Erza could go and see him.
When Erza walked into the room and couldn't help but start to cry again when she saw her son all bandaged up; it only reinforced the fact that this was all her fault despite the fact what Lucy just said moments before. Erza then sat by her son's bedside until he awoke and when he did; she asked him why he ran off into the forest in the first place. Ren weakly smiled and said the reason why he ran into the forest was because he thought he couldn't be like his father and surpass him some day. Erza just laugh slightly and said to her son "rest now Ren we'll worry about that later ok." Ren obeyed his mother and went to sleep with his watching over him as he slept.
