I'm gonna wake up yes and no

Zuko groaned as his uncle shook him awake.

"Go away Uncle," Zuko said. He rolled over and faced the wall fully intending to go back to sleep.

"Prince Zuko the Avatar's companion, the waterbender, has been brought aboard the ship." General Iroh said as he shook his young nephew again. Zuko shot up almost hitting his uncle in the nose.

"She's here? Aboard our ship? How Uncle?"

"I believe they caught her while she was sleeping Prince Zuko."

"The avatar wasn't with her? They're practically glued together."

"The Avatar wasn't. I believe she ran off."

"Very well. I'll be down to see her soon." ZUko said and his uncle left his room.

Zuko walked down the hallway with two guards. Reaching the door the two guards opened it and stood to the side. Zuko walked in and the door closed behind him. The girl suspended in the room looked up at him. A nasty bruise was appearing on her cheek from one of the soliders. She looked down seeing who it was.

"What do you want from me?" The girl said. Going over to her, Zuko grabbed her chin forcing her to look at him.

"Where is the Avatar? I know you know." Zuko growled. Looking her over he noticed that she was too thin. Her dress was torn at the bottom and she looked exhausted.

"I wouldn't tell you if I knew." The girl said. Zuko called for the two guards outside.

"Unchain her. Leave her hands cuffed together though." The guards did as he said and left. Zuko grabbed the girl's arm and led her through the boat to his room. Shoving her on the bed he stood over her.

"I'm going to unchain your hands. Keep the cuffs on. When I bring you back on deck make your escape." Zuko pulled out his keys. Quickly he undid her cuffs. Standing he headed towards the door.

"Why?"

Zuko turned around. The girl was still sitting on his bed. "Because I need someone who owes me their life in that group. Because you don't deserve to be killed for what everyone sees you as. Because I can track you to the Avatar. Now are you coming?" Zuko walked towards the door again. He felt the girl come up next to him. He grabbed her arm and dragged down the stairs to the deck.

The girl yanked away from him and her cuffs fell to the ground. Water washed over the side of the boat. The water froze making the deck slippery. As firebenders slid and fell the ice melted and formed cuffs around their wrists and ankles. More water came over the side dousing the fires on the boat.

Zuko lay on the deck as his uncle came out. Melting the cuffs and ice off the deck his uncle watched the figure in blue speeding away.

"Quite a little spitfire that one is. She would make a terrible wife."

IM BACK! I was gone all summer so I couldn't post any new stories and then I transferred to a new school and had to get acclimated. Plus I didn't regain my inspiration until I started dating someone new (My loss of inspiration was due to the last person breaking up with me). But its better now and I'm finally back.

Constructive criticism is welcomed. I know Zuko is a bit ooc but I still need to get back in the habit of writing. The last bit of this part will be added soon.
