Red. That's all I see. It glimmers like the Crimson of a sunset, snuffing out the sun for the day, and then announcing its arrival the next. But the sun will never rise again. My sun; I will never get to feel the warmth of my beautiful sun, or her equally beautiful smile. Who could do this? Who could make someone so innocent, be covered in such a vile substance?
I can' take it anymore. I drop to my knees and hold her to my chest, her crimson stained golden tresses stuck to the sides of her beautiful face; forever stuck in an expression of horror and disbelief, the tracks of her tears still on her cheeks. I call out her name, over and over. It's like a mantra, a never ending record of her name screamed out by me.
I watch as the last little bit of light in her eyes fades, signifying she is forever gone. I feel cold inside, empty; nothing came ever warm me again. Not even the heat of my own flames. For hours I hold her, rocking back and forth, not caring as I am stained with her blood. Her body is cold, so cold. Why did it have to be her? Why couldn't... Why couldn't it have been me?
They try to pry her cold dead body from me, but I won't... No... I can't let them take her from me. She is my sun, the only thing that keeps me happy. Please don't take her from me, I know she will come back.
I cry out and scream as they finally get her away from me, slamming my fists down into the floorboards of her apartment. She's not gone, she can't be! I just saw her an hour ago. After what seems like an eternity, I feel a warm hand touch my shoulder, "Natsu... She's gone. There's nothing you can do." I shake my head at the words. I scream and they have to hold me down so I don't hurt myself. They have to back away as I burst into flames, heat wing all around me, but still I am cold.
I am no longer me, I am a beast that has lost its one and only, it's sun, it's true love, it's mate, and it's best friend. There' soothing left for me. I will not go on like this. Goodbye world, I will see you one day soon, My Dear Lucy, my sun.
