Brittany Pierce was someone that everyone knew, they had all seen her at least once in their life, she was almost startlingly pretty, and she was the most adorable person most people had met, a total sweetheart. That didn't make her innocent though. A lot of people knew her as the girl that had made out with them without really knowing them. She had done that with everyone, except Mike it seemed.
It's not that he treated girls like meat or anything, he was jealous but he could just admire from afar, he was only just starting high school, but the girl hadn't even said two words to him before, so he was just wondering whether she'd just completely forgotten him or something. Because he knew it wasn't an Asian thing, she had made out with his friend Jake just last week, though he'd thanked god that he was spared the details. He didn't want to hear people talk about the girl that way.
When she approached him one lunch time, he almost spits out his drink. "H-Hey" He says, looking around.
"Hi! I don't know you, but I'm Brittany!" She says, grinning at him enthusiastically.
"Chang. Mike Chang" He says in his attempt to be cool, and then mentally slaps himself for being such a creep.
"Can I call you Mikey, Chang Mike Chang?" She asks, obviously a little confused at his 'name'.
"Uh, sure you can call me Mikey, if I can call you Britt" He answers back, thinking about how he can explain. "My name is just Mike Chang by the way.. I uh, I was trying to be like James Bond, but I don't think you got it" He says, shrugging it off.
"Oh. Okay. Well I like Mikey better anyway, it's cute, like you!" She giggles and Mike begins to blush wildly.
"You think I'm cute?" He asks, not believing it exactly.
"Course, I think everyone is cute, and they think I'm adorable" She explains like it's totally obvious.
"I agree with them" He says, trying his luck with a semi compliment.
"Thanks" She says, giggling and then smiling for a few moments, staring at nothing before she speaks again. "Did you know... that there are actually unicorns at the end of rainbows, and not leprechauns?" She begins and Mike just nods, intrigued at what she was saying because though others would call her stupid, he knew she wasn't. "Yeah, they tell people it's them because they always steal your gold and if they think some creepy short people are there... They won't go there! But I'm totally too smart for that, so one day, when I get a car, I'm gonna find a rainbow and get myself a unicorn that I can name Bella" She smiles triumphantly when she finishes.
"That sounds... wonderful Britt, I'd love to come with you, if you want me to" He answers, basically staring at her.
"Well, awesome then. Sannybear is calling me, so I'll talk to you later, kay?" She says, before kissing his cheek and rushing away towards Santana, cheerios skirt swishing.
From that moment on, he knew it wasn't going to be easy not falling for Brittany. Mainly because he already has.
