Deadly Love

She was called 'the deadly wind'

She was an assassin,

Moving soundless with the wind

Often calm and gentle

But mostly harsh, brisk

And utterly lethal

Nobody knew who she was

Nobody knew where she came from

Nobody knew how she killed

And nobody knew why she let him live.

All but one

He was called 'The man of the Shadows'

His face held no emotion,

Forever covered in shadow

He was a complete mystery to the world

Cold outside

Darkness inside

Nobody knew who he was

Nobody knew where he came from

Nobody knew why was so cold

And nobody knew how he had survived.

All but one

How they met, one could only guess

How they fell in love, one could never know

She was a deadly wind

He was a man of shadows

She would scream and shout,

cutting through him like blades.

He would stand tall

Not with sadness

Not with hatred

With love

She was the wind pushing him forward

He was her shadow, ever standing close by

A name and a picture

That's all she needed

That's all it took

With just a name and a picture

She could track anyone

She could kill anyone

But…

Nobody knew his face

Nobody knew his name

Next assignment:

Name: unknown, referred to as Man of the Shadows

Age: unknown

Picture: unknown

Special features: unknown

She sighed. This was going to be one hell of a mission

People feared him.

His sense of logic outranked his sense of emotion, by far

They said he'd lost his humanity

He knew of her existence

He knew her reputation

Many of his peers had already fallen under her hands.

He knew she was lethal

When he found the miniature fan on his desk he knew she was coming

He sighed. This was going to be troublesome

"You're quite remarkable ... you know that
And here I thought you'de be some skinny, pale chick with an obsesion with weapons. But to find a beautiful woman ...
I have to admit, I'm quite shocked."

"How did you find me?"

"You're not that hard to find. you're reputation exeeds yourself.
But I must confess, I was expecting a tall, muscular man in his forties.
And here I find a boy."

They met
They fell in love

Clothes were torn to shreds
Bloody faces
Scarred limbs

Arms wrapped around each other.

They died in an embrace
Bathing in blood

Buried in a nameless grave

Their epitaph: Two unknown lovers
and the words 'The thing to fear most, is fear itself'

A.N.

This is a small experimental ShikaTema fic I wrote a long time ago.

I just recently found the courage to post it.

There's not really a story behind it, it's more about creating an atmospere.

I hope you like it.

I don't really want to beg for reviews, but I would like some feedback. I'm a bit insecure at the moment about the things I write so any feedback can help.

Even if you think it's terrible, please tell me.

By the way, this story hasn't been beta'd, so please ignore the mistakes ^^
