Percy didn't see this one coming.
He had killed Medusa, strangled a sea monster, and battled Titans and gods in Tartarus. Yet, he never thought that he would be transformed into a cat and sent through dimensions to a world of adventure, war, and survival.
He woke up in his cabin at Camp Half-Blood with Annabeth staring down at him. It was still early.
"Morning, Seaweed-Brain," Annabeth said sweetly. She dressed in the same outfit she had worn when they first met at Capture-the-Flag nearly 9 years ago. She gave Percy a light kiss on the cheek then backed away.
Percy, A.K.A Seaweed-Brain, sat up slowly and looked around. His eyelids were heavy and he felt like sinking back into sleep. He slowly exited the bed and began walking over to the lake, but tripped over the heavy golden trident he had left lying across the doorway.
He toppled over to the wooden dock. He fell asleep in midair.
And yet he never hit the wood.
Annabeth had rushed over to catch Percy, being wary of the trident.
But it moved so she tripped over it as well.
She also fell on her face, but she never hit the wooden dock either. Instead, she stopped with her nose barely a centimeter above the wood. Her blonde hair fell over er shoulders, but didn't touch the ground either.
Then, there was a flash and Annabeth flew upward. She braced herself for impact with the archway above, but never experienced it.
There was another flash, and Annabeth was lying in a forest. She could feel the grass on her stomach, and the roaring of a nearby river.
She leapt to her feet and looked around. Then she saw her tail.
At the time she thought it was an enemy, so she pursued it. But it remained just out of her reach.
Then she saw the blonde fur and what the tail was attached to. Her eyes widened and she looked down.
She had paws.
She tried to scream, but it just came out as an angry yowl.
She looked around for Percy and spotted a bluish, short-furred cat with black spots napping nearby.
We're cats! Annabeth thought with alarm. And this isn't our home!
