PROLOGUE
Lily awoke that morning, expecting the sun to be shining brightly through the windows, birds to be happily chirping, and the wind whistling softly through the trees, like some sort of romantic fantasy. However, when she did wake, it was to the sounds of thunder, flashes of lightening, the pounding of large raindrops on her windows. It was most definitely not the ideal weather greeting a woman on the morning of her wedding. Lily was, however, the eternal optimist, and she just decided that since it was stormy on the morn of her wedding, that her honeymoon would thus be beautiful, with blooming flowers and the happy squish of the wet ground beneath her feet as she walked into the arms of her adoring husband. Lily Evans was a woman that many women pretended to like but secretly were horrendously envious toward, considering her nearly perfect life and attitude.
However, no matter how perfect her life did seem, there were a few smudges on her happiness. The major disappointment Lily had to face was that her sister, whom she wholly adored, refused to even attend her wedding, and was appalled that Lily dare ask that she be her maid of honor. Lily had known for years that Petunia Evans didn't exactly agree with Lily's lifestyle; however, Lily had hoped that the bonds of sisterhood couldn't be broken so easily, and had hoped by reaching out to Petunia that she would come around. Lily could even pinpoint the exact moment when things began to change between the sisters...
