Ever since Roy had killed the Rockbells, he'd suffered under the weight of such a huge guilt he sometimes contemplated suicide. When Hughes was alive, he always pushed Roy up out of the dark spots, but since Hughes' death, he'd had to find a new way to deal with his problems. That was when he created The List – whenever he was unhappy, he added a new reason it was worth it to keep living. Riza, Maria, and Havoc- his friends were all very high on the list.
