Angels Grove was a water park. The weather had taken such a terrible turn. Normally it was sun and heat, but now it was only gray and rainy. Luckily the rain had ceased, but the puddles drowned the streets and sidewalks.
Not that it did any good for Andros. He stumbled through a back alley. He had official deemed this the worst day he had ever had. He slipped and collapsed on the wet ground. His body racked with extreme pain. But he had to keep going. He had no choice. It was either keep going or die trying. Or give up and die where no one will find you. Either choice did have a great ending for him.
Andros forced himself to his feet and stumbled on. His body had been injured beyond comprehension. His legs were cut and bled heavily. His left shoulder had been broken and his right wrist and dislocated. Andros was sure several of his ribs were broken and a few were bruised. But his head was worse, Andros was unaware that he had a large gash in the back of his head. However, he suspected there was something else besides the cut bleeding down into his scratched face.
His legs gave out and Andros fell onto the wet, solid ground. Andros set himself up against the wall and breathed heavily. He looked at his damaged morphed. It had been 'fried'. Some of the controls were fused together. There was no way of contacting the others.
This is what I get for fighting by myself. Andros asked. He continued to wallow in his pooling blood. There was no way he'd reach the others in time.
By now his sight was lessening. The scenery around him lost focus. He felt each one of his limbs go numb. It wouldn't be much longer and he would die. If not from lack of blood, but from the injuries themselves. His chest heaved and he broke into painful coughs. His eyes closed in pain as he coughed for several minutes. He leaned back against the wall allowing the feeling of his blood to roll down his cheek.
In the distance, Andros could hear something. It could've been a stray animal, or a late night jogger. What ever it was, Andros didn't pay attention. The noise continued and it seemed to get louder. A bright light shined on Andros' face. He slowly turned his head. There was a faint cry of someone calling his name.
Andros couldn't decipher who it was, before he blacked out.
