FAN FICTION

Ring ring, ring ring. "Hello Travis speaking."

"hi travis, I was just wondering if you wanted to go up the hill today"

"for sure jolene, what time do you want to meet,"

"ten minutes?" asked jolene,

"see you then, bubye,"

As I slip on my boots I give my little bro a kiss goodbye and say "see you later levi"

levi isn't actually my brother, when I was only seven years old my aunty was involved in a freak accident where her chair lift fell off its rope creating an avalanche that buried her. They never found her body. she only had a baby 9 days before hand and since his father works full time as a cow farmer so my family of three adopted him.

"hey skinney boy" shouts tommey while scoffing down a delicious chocolate spinkle covered donut the size of your mothers hand.

"what do you want, A triple pie?"

I carry on walking ignoring every mean thing he says.

"Hey jolene already been in and back to get your board hugh'"

"yeah it took long enough," replied jolene

"lets go and get my board then,"

we start walking through the forestry when I see the humongous oak tree where I store my board, I walk up to the tree and jump to the branch that hangs about seven feet high and pull myself up to a little hole with a slit either side, I chuck my hand in and pull out the wooden board that my auntie had made when she introduced me to snowboarding.

"where on the mountain do you want to ride today trav," jolene asked politely,

"we wont have time to get to the top and back before the reaping so maybe halfway and down,"

"ok, race to the jack chairlift then,"

sweet, I think to myself and start pacing out some big steps to pull away, I slow down a little to run with jolene as I imagine my younger little name being pulled out of the jar by jim decamp and hearing his loud deep voice levi sherwood and seeing his pale white face not knowing where to go or what to do, I try to blank it out of my mind knowing it is never going to happen. "STOP" yelled jolene

"what" I whisper back quietly

"there is a deer just round the corner behind a tree," jolene replied quieter than a mouse,

"remember we arent aloud to kill animals on the other side of the fence," I say

"who cares about that stupid law" jolene says with an attitude as she jumps up into a young kauri tree and snapped off a branch. within a second she was on top of the deer getting chucked around badly.

I scream "stop get off, get off,"

but i'm to late she gets the horn through the the chest, its not a nice sight, blood squirting out as the dear runs off with jolene on its horn.

A tear springs to my eyes when I fall to the snow deep powder.
