Rave's prompt: Blimp

Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon.
Notes: My shoulders are well sore. But, on a more positive note, I passed all my exams! With flying colours, at that! Yay.
Since Sora and Ken had moved in together, they had discovered quite a few things about each other that they hadn't previously known. Ken, for example, had found out that Sora was a big fan of painting. And she was good at it; he had seen some of her paintings when they were moving into their apartment, and he honestly thought that they had been painted by a professional. She didn't think she was any better than the next person and never brought this hobby into conversations; it was simply something she enjoyed doing when she had time on her hands. Ken admired her dedication.
Likewise, Sora had discovered Ken's previously closeted interest in building miniature models. He made them of anything and everything – planes, buildings, and battleships, to name a few. She was the first person he had shown his models to, and he was desperate for her approval; unlike her with her paintings, he was awfully proud of his creations and probably wouldn't have continued to make them if she didn't like them. So it was fortunate that she did like them, really, and she made sure to express it and encourage him as often as she could.
Ken's most recent model was a secret, and Sora's curiosity peaked. Before, she'd been vaguely interested in seeing his latest works, but now that he wouldn't let her she couldn't help but wonder why. What could he have been making that was so necessary to keep a secret? On more than one occasion she tried to sneak a glimpse at the unknown model, but Ken always managed to catch her and shoo her away just in time. He promised that she could see it when he was finished, but only then; not while it was a work in progress.
That was understandable, she supposed, so she forgot all about it. Ken would let her see it when he was good and ready. And, a few weeks later, he called her into the study where he did his modelling. She could vaguely remember the model she hadn't been allowed to see, but didn't immediately make the connection. Then she saw it and realised why it had been a secret.
The model was of a blimp, and Ken stood proudly beside it as he watched her smile. He had left the top off so she could see inside, and sitting there were miniature versions of the two of them. They were sitting at a table, appearing to be enjoying a meal, with no one else around; and across the side of the blimp was a message which read, 'I love you, Sora, and I always will.'
