People always question Christianity
Saying, "why believe in an invisible God
Why believe in a Being who let's others suffer?
If the Almighty does exist,
Where is he now?
Couldn't he turn rocks into bread or
Wars into Peace?
Couldn't he stop the hungry children or
Governments from failing?"
They don't know the difference
Of what we've been told
To follow the Holy Lord
He's far more complex than stone idols
And far more complex than ourselves
He exists outside of our physical forms
Waiting for the day we can return
He never wanted us to be in this place
This space where there's so much pain
But due to our choice to do wrong
And our own self egotism
We've let our world become this way.
It was us, always us, who could have chosen His way.
Suffering is a lesson to be learned
Sacrifice is what we need to take hold
Sweetness comes from hearing the sounds of the Lord
A song that we can only hear inside us.
God can not be explained
He overcomes words that way.
He is something you feel deep inside,
That arouses your Spirit
And Ignites the Soul.
To do right and choose right
To feel good and do better
To reach farther than the stars
Because as one nothing is impossible
And it is through Him I've come
It's been said to follow the narrow gate,
For the road to destruction is wide and short.
We take the words of the Bible literally
Or too figuratively and can't find the truth.
The words written over thousands of years
Keep becoming perverted and destructive
As humanity keeps trying to put constraints
On words that have been handed down for ages.
Do not test the Lord your God
For His rage is swift and powerful.
He is like a beast that can never be tamed
But He is far more than any creature possible
For He exists outside our physical realm
And brings us peace when we turn to Him
We too have freedom of speech
And as Christians can't we too say what we believe?
So quit complaining about our perspective.
We only love and serve Our Lord
If we seem so narrow-minded and others complain
Then it only means we are serving His Word
You have yours, I have mine
You're my friend, but an enemy too
I love you personally but your actions deceive
I believe in God
Author's Note: Just a declaration of my belief and no you don't need to agree.
