that this is a mix between The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time, A Link to
the Past, and Oracle of Seasons/Ages.
The Legend of Zelda: Return of Ganon
Episode1: Prologue

The legend of the Hero of Time was passed down through generations until it just became a story. Even the Temple of Time had mysteriously vanished. The legend became a myth, and soon people stopped talking about it altogether. Only the Sheikah and the Royal Family knew the truth. But they didn't want to talk about how their kingdom came so close to being completely destroyed.
One thousand three hundred and seventy-five years after the defeat of Ganon, a new era began. Modern technology was discovered, but they still kept the tradition of crowning a new king. And, of course, the Sheikah still protected the Royal Family of Hyrule. However there was one Sheikah who wasn't with the Royal Family. He was a wanderer in search of a certain man. This Sheikah's name was Sheik. The Royal Family, including the Sheikah, also knew of a second legend.
The legend went like this:
One day when the seal is broken the evil king will return.
At that moment the next hero shall be chosen.
Then the Master Sword and bearer shall evolve.
The person that told them this was none other than Queen (yes queen) Zelda herself. Though the Sheikahs believed her, the Royal Family didn't. They didn't want to believe that Ganon would one day be revived. But before she could convince them she was struck by a deadly illness. One week later Zelda had died. Her husband mourned her death so much that he killed himself (Her husband is not Link he's just some guy her parents pressured her so much to marry that she gave in). Their eldest son became the next king.
But enough of that. If you're wondering the man Sheik is looking for is the reincarnation of Link the original Hero of Time. Sheik hoped to find him before the seal was broken so that Link might be able to stop it. But I'll tell you of his adventures later. After six months of traveling he decided to return to the castle. He did this because while he was traveling he forgot the second line of the legend, which clearly states that a new hero would be chosen after the seal was broken.
Our story begins with the crowning of a new king.
