A/N: -sigh- yet another moment where one of my daydreams becomes fanfiction...
Disclaimer: Not mine
Warning: Slash, swearing.
Challenge: People on Bebo and LiveJournal are giving me prompts for Sirius/Remus fics, and I'll write one (or just biff the lot and write whatever I want) per day, posting them there, and here. This'll go on for the whole of May, so feel free to pop over to my LJ (link in my profile) and drop me a prompt!

Sirius had been camping in the common room for so long now that it no longer felt weird to fall asleep amid the quiet muttering of the last few people finishing homework. He knew full well that he deserved it, and so much more. He couldn't believe what he had done, even now he had nightmares of what could have happened to Snape, what could have happened to Remus. It made him shiver just to think about it.
On that uneasy note he slipped easily into unconsciousness, awaking suddenly to a silent common room, empty but for two people. Sirius, and... someone was curled comfortably on top of him. It was this that jogged his mind fully awake, rolling to see the face just above his. But it couldn't be.
"Remus, what are you-" his voice, near aching with need, was cut off by the gentlest of gentle kisses. It wasn't even a kiss so much as a brush of lips, but it was enough, Sirius' eyes locked on the golden ones glowing above him.
"Never mind." He whispered, and then they were kissing, bodies pressed together as tightly as was humanly possible, hands roving desperately to feel every inch of each other, after months of separation.
Together again. And, Sirius decided, this was the way it should always be.
